Default Relative Value of Epic Otto's Box and Cards IX/X?

I have an Epic Otto's Box (unopened) that I suspect I will never use. Nothing against people who do use them, but for me it seems like it would take the fun/sense of accomplishment away from leveling.

I do, however, really want an Eternal Flask of FOM.

I was hoping to get some opinions on the relative value of Cards IX and X (or XI) compared to an Epic Otto's Box (or just the epic stone within the box), here on Cannith.

Would trading the box for both cards IX and X be fair? Would I be getting ripped off, and should ask for plat/scales/something to balance it? Or is an epic box too little to offer?

Also -- is anyone interested in actually making this trade?

If I had both a IX and X I'd probably be interested, and willing to throw in some plat and/or other items. I only have a IX, alas!

The value is really relative to what it's value is to you; a trade should, ultimately, make both parties feel like they got the 'better' end of the deal. Everyone goes away happy.

Thank you for the input! Definitely agree in principle that a trade is fair when both parties are happy.

But if I find out a week later that I could have gotten the two cards a lot more cheaply, then my initial happiness is going to be replaced with regret. And that's no fun.

I am definitely willing to pay a premium because I understand that no one is likely to roll both an IX and an X. I have my VIP account and my F2P account rolling cards daily on all servers and have done some card trading, and have yet to obtain either card. So I figure anyone I do this trade to is going to have had to do some other trading of their own in order to attain the two cards.

I just have very little sense of how much the cards are really worth, and don't want to get totally ripped off. That's why I posted this, to hopefully get a better sense of where the value falls for people.

Personally, I think the Epic Otto's is more valuable than the cards. Tell me what event gives away Epic/Heroic Otto's Boxes?

You still have ten days to get the cards for free on your own or by trading other junk.

Supposedly we can still trade cards and crunch cards even after March 31. Of course, the next day is April 1, so maybe that is the joke?

I have seen people selling IX and X for 800k to 1.5M plat, if that helps any. Also, 100+ AS is not unheard of for an XI, but then neither is 600k plat.

It would be fair in the world without exploits :P Both IX and X are really hard to get in a legit way. If you trade it for cards you can be 80-90% sure that it will land into hands of dupe exploiter :P

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have made a trade with someone and am now the happy owner of an eternal flask of FOM. Thank you very much to those who responded both in this thread and in PMs -- I wish you all success in future trades.

I appreciate this advice, and the similar advice I have received in PMs. In an ideal world, I would want to be certain that whoever I traded with had acquired their cards legitimately. In reality, there's simply no way for me to know, so all I can do is take people at their word and make a trade that makes both people happy.
