Unhappy **The Libram of Silver Magic** not retroactive to items already created.

This made me cry, in anguish.
This is silly and really annoying.......

I farmed for the The Libram of Silver Magic, farmed for the 150 black stones to update it!!!! Then made a post to say it wasn't wai.

    Next I read this:

***** The Libram of Silver Magic has had several effects fixed. Its base version now has +20 Spellcraft, and the upgrade now brings the +10 Intelligence and Charisma to +11. The item is also now Bound to Character on Equip. These changes are not retroactive to items already created. ****

Just send people the new version as they have taken the time too loot it and upgrade it. Please.

There have been times they have updated items by using the Stone of Change in the Marketplace. It's really a shame they don't leverage this more often.

Yeah, this is a terrible choice by Turbine. I hope they reverse it, and I feel really badly for everyone affected.

It's funny how they can retroactively change EVERYTHING about loot multiple times yet decide they won't do this. Of course they will probably say it's a "technical issue", it always is.

*Turbine cracks whip* get back to chest re-rolling players!

    Default Not happy!!

I farmed and farmed for this item and the black stones to upgrade it thinking it would be the item that was listed on the wiki page only to be disappointed to discover it was NOTHING like the upgraded item you described. NOW I find out you have fixed it and it will not be applied retroactively this is unbelievable !!

Why can you not simply either give me and everybody else who is in this situation a fully upgraded Libram which is fixed or a Libram plus the 150 black stones to upgrade it or correct this issue another way ???

This is simply not good enough Turbine I pay good money to play this game why can you not fix this issue?

It is not like this is the first time something like this has happened either as we are all aware of !!

Hopefully we can get some positive feedback and a solution...

    Before freaking out you may want to check around a bit first;

Most of this thread was posted before he made any mention the the possibility of it being retroactive.

I also think most of us aren't really going to believe them until we see it in-game, on Lama or the release Notes are updated to reflect Steel's statement. Far too many things in the past that were supposed to be fixed on Lam never ended up fixed on live.

Posted this in the other thread:

Making the libram changes non-retroactive is asinine.

Do you guys know how many people re-rolled the chests in order to get one of these items, to then find out that you guys bugged it, and now to also find out that although you have a fix in the pipeline, it'll only impact future pulls?

When it comes to nerfing a weapon, those seem to be retroactive. But when it comes to fixing a bug that hurts us, nah not retroactive.

^ This is a glaring example of why people get jaded. Something as simple as the aforementioned needs to be spelled out.

What would you think of say, a pharmacist who dispenses wrong medication or gives a non-functional product, to then just say - well, I won't retroactively fix it for you, but you'll get the right meds next month!
