DDO is crashing, usually within the first 10 minutes. Seems to normally want to get a crash out of the way, and then settles down. Second crashes are uncommon. System meets specs, using SSD, loading speeds are good. Have tried altering display and sound settings. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

It only crashes for DDO, no other apps.

I am also having the crashing issue. The client will crash to desktop instantly, no hourglass, no error message.
In my situation, this occurs when I am running a 2nd instance of DDO on my pc.
**I have been doing this for several months, and it only started doing this after the update** My system can easily support 2 instances of DDO.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling
I have tried upgrading and then reverting graphic drivers (reverted back at least 3 versions)
DDO running in DX11 Mode.
Again, this setup was working perfectly before the most recent update.

I am also having this issue and update 21 including yesterday's hotfix (to fix crashing issues as per Cordovan) has not fixed it. You can see my original post here:

And I have uninstalled/reinstalled and there are no wacom drivers on the laptop. You are not the only one, guys...
I´ve recently downloaded the game, but I can´t get to playing! Until I get to character selection, its all fine.
But as soon as I click "enter world", it appears, the game is loading, but after 2 mins +/- it crashes to desktop, but sometimes appears message : "server connection lost."
I´ve tried almost everything, now I am just waiting for Turbine support to respond.

I'm pretty sure this issue is unrelated to the others. You computer has a 5400 RPM HD and 2Gb of RAM shared with the GPU. DDO is extremely disk intensive when loading. The game is timing out because the resources aren't being loaded quickly enough to acknowledge the server status requests. The game will eventually be terminated by the OS because it appears to be a hung application. Originally Posted by Levedris
You can try two relatively simple things to possibly fix this problem.
1. Open your UserPreferences.ini file in Notepad or another text editor. It's located in "Documents\Dungeons and Dragons Online". Locate the setting "ConnectionSpeed=" and set that to "ConnectionSpeed=512.00". Save the file.
2. Load the game using Wanesa's DDO Preloader. Your system barely meets the requirements for it, but it should work.
Both of those modifications might be enough to get you into the game before it times out.

I´ve already tried the preloader, but according to it, I don´t have enough RAM :/ Will try the other thing, though

Also, about 1 in 5 times when I quit, the client goes to a black screen, becomes unresponsive, and I can only close it out through the task manager. Is it possible to get tech support through this forum? Originally Posted by Toro12
