New quest: It came from the desert????

not sure if I missed it somewhere or not...but my quest log shows a new quest called: It Came From the Desert...given by Rogar Flintmountain and is located in Thunderholme. But I have yet to find Rogar, or a quest entrance for this quest either in Thunder peaks or in the ruins of thunderholme...

Anybody seen this lad to get this quest...or am I missing something that was posted and he dinna exist...

"It came form the depths" was originally the name of temple of the deathwyrm raid on Lamannia when it was first introduced.....could be some code carried over/slipped through the cracks....not sure about the desert part though.

It is probably a reference to the upcoming Anauroch stuff. The Adventure Compendium doesn't always get updated in the way you'd expect. Wheloon was on there as "Coming soon!" for months.

They announced a while back that they had stopped work on the Anauroch stuff much to my disappointment. They never bothered to remove the "It came From the Desert" title from the quest logs though.

It Came From the Desert was a 3rd raid planned for thunderholme and got canceled. Not anauroch.

Our first update of the year introduces two level 30 raids in the dwarf ruins of Thunderholme. The adventure area covers 7 floors with multiple raid and group encounters, while the raids start with a mated pair of red dragons and culminate in a confrontation with Aurgloroasa the Sibilant Shade. In addition to these two raids, we’ve reserved the option to add a third later in the year.

The third update of the year will take you to Anauroch, the not-so-barren desert to the north of Cormyr. You will have the chance to battle the armies of Netheril and challenge a new enemy – the enigmatic Phaerimm.

Our final update of 2014 will extend the level cap to 30, which is intended to be DDO’s “permanent” level cap and complete the Epic levels. With this update we’ll be looking at ways to complete and improve existing systems like Epic Destinies.

Now to a thinking man.. that suggests two raids... Sorry, strike that. To a reading man, that states two raids in thunderholme. It also suggest the third potential raid being .. part of Anauroch. Though this may have been mugged, and turned into defiler instead.

I did not provide a source because the post I replied did not as well. However, here's my source:

Ever since U21 there's also a raid listed under /raid completions named "It came from the desert" that is not in the game (probably Anauroch desert raid, which was pushed back in favor of other things).

Pulling back the curtain a bit again (quite the day for that!), that Raid was originally intended as a third Thunderholme raid. A design plan and a few files were made, but it didn't go beyond that.

As you can see, the "reading" man got it wrong And I do have my "Stuff" straight before I try and correct someone, do you?

Anauroch was halted hopefully for good don't need another desert especially if it's in the realms
