Windows 8.1/DirectX 11.2

Just upgraded to Windows 8.1 which comes with DirectX 11.2. I didn't have any issues installing DDO (using Steam), but I did have to install the old Netframe I think it was called? Anyway, game starts up, everything seems ok, except I cannot switch to directx 11. It's grayed out with directx 9 selected, and it won't allow me anything else. What can I do to get this looking good again?

I used to have a similar problem. I have DX 11, but the game would not set better than DX 10. Then about a year ago I found a post that talked about downloading some DX 11 file or somesuch, but I don't recall it exactly. I performed the download and the install, and I have played DDO with DX 11 ever since.

I know this isn't the biggest help, but at least you know a related answer exists somewhere in forum.

I was having this exact issue as well.

I was able to repair DirectX with Microsoft's DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35).

DirectX 11 is now selectable again in the Options.
