Besides you don't even need any extra accounts. The dice are buggy. I'd bet they'll still be buggy when the update gets rolled out.

They should simply disallow accounts that are less than 3 weeks old unless its a VIP or Premium account. Problem solved. Awarding making free dummy accounts would be silly for sure.

From DDO wiki:

Update 21, players are given a free Classic D&D Red Box on their first character to log on to the game, in each account.

Classic D&D Red Box (Dungeons & Dragons 40th Anniversary Reward)
Celebrate Dungeons & Dragons 40th and DDO's 8th anniversaries with this classic Player's Starter set. Double-click the box to receive the anniversary event contents.

This box contains 6 random cards, a Magical d20, an Eldritch Card Cruncher, and a Classic D&D Anniversary Bag.

Once per day, per account, you can roll the Magical d20 to earn a free card. All cards and items go into the Anniversary Bag.

You can combine two different cards for a variety of rewards. All the cards are unbound, freely trade-able and auction-able.

So, 1 freely tradable card per account per day means 10 accounts = 10 cards per day.
Assuming of course Turbine forgets to include a simple limitation like only accounts older than 1 month.

Judging from the list on ddo wiki, there's some really nice rewards in there, but the chances of actually GETTING some seriously depend on how long the event runs: if it runs for 1 week, that's not even enough cards to get a single +3 tome on all my toons. Seeing many of my toons don't even have a +2 on all stats (and I was looking forward to some cake to help remedy that), that's rather a downgrade compared to previous years. If the event runs for, say, 40 days, chances to get those tomes are much better and I might end up better off than with the cakes.
In all, I do like the idea, but whether it turns out to be a GOOD idea will heavily depend on how long it runs.

I would place 1 $ on a bet that this goes life, is immediately exploited, and get´s hotfixed (by turning off) when the exploiters already have theirs and all "normal" players were not able to get one single extra. Then there will be a big "Ups, sorry!" from the devs and the whole thing get´s scrapped. And again all the people not exploiting will be the dumb guys getting nothing.

Since the items are mostly store items, they should be flagged to be untradable on free accounts. If they flag the cards the same way, that solves most of the problem. Players might be willing to make 20+ dummy free accounts, but not many people will make 20+ dummy premium accounts.

What worries me, is if this is ONE roll per account that means my alts on other servers will get NOTHING at all. Still had no answer to this.
