My first day in DDO was back in August of last year. I tried several servers before I settled on Orien. Korthos the first time was a blast.

8 years ago I got together with my 1st pen and paper group who had been separated by time and distance and we created a guild on DDO so we could play again. Been hooked since Day 1 and thanking you ever since.

My first day in DDO I learned I loathed protection quests. Stupid Heyton.

On my first day I soloed EE The Fall of Truth with starter gear, two cure light potions and pure determination.

The only thing I remember about my first day in DDO was spending time trying to figure out how to get around the walled edge of the harbor (by the leaky dingy) to get to the scenery beyond. Of course, this is impossible but it didn't stop me from spending hours trying. So ya...jumping around like an idiot in the harbor...that was day 1.

DDO is the first REAL MMO I'd ever played and I'd have to say it was a bit confusing and confounding with a bit of frustration; however, I'd been playing table-top AD&D for about 17 years at that point and realized that all the imagination I'd used over those years was there in full color, playable, controllable, and after a while....I got hooked.
