    Default DDO Card Crafting Results

EDIT: DDOwiki page has a more comprehensive list here. http://ddowiki.com/page/Anniversary_Card_Collection

Logging into Lammania, I found a 40th Anniversary Box which rewarded me 5 Collectible Image Cards, 1 Eldritch Card Cruncher, and 1 D20 Bag.
The D20 Bag spawns 1 free card per day.
The Card Cruncher turns combinations of cards into prizes.

Combinations thus far 30/45 Recipes known. Thanks to GauArrowny & Rosedarkthorn for extensive testing on Lammania. Send +1 Reputation to them, not me. Thanks to everyone else who contributed as well.

    1. How many unique cards can the bag hold? How many per stack?
    2. Is the bag permanent and will it spawn 1 card a day permanently?
    3. Any idea how many unique cards there might be?
    4. What is the bind status of the cards? Are they tradable?
    5. Is there any indication that some cards are more rare than others, making them more valuable?

    1. The cards are stacking, but I don't have enough to know what the limit of the stack size is.
    2. The bag is permanent.
    3. I am guessing, based upon the sample size of 5, that there might be a population of 10 different cards.
    4. They are unbound.
    5. Insufficient data for a meaningful answer.

Is it possible to combine more than 2 cards at once? Presumably there would be something special for combining 1 of every type of card.

The Eldritch Card Cruncher has the same interface as a stone of change, can hold up to 5 ingredients.
    It states:
Combine Classic D&D 40th Anniversary Event cards for a prize. Any set of two different cards results in a different award. Some are rarer than others!

    Default Surprise! (Sir Prize?)

Hi guys! We thought we would give you a brief preview of the upcoming Anniversary Event. As you might deduce, this is part of our broader celebration of Dungeon & Dragons' 40th anniversary (and in conjunction with our 8th). So to celebrate, we came up with something a little more elaborate than usual. We also went a little overboard on the prizes. There are a bunch of them, including about ten entirely new items. (Although some of those will be a bit harder to acquire.)

Now to answer these excellent questions:

    - The bag should be able to hold all the cards you could gather during the event. You might notice the d20 and card cruncher also go in the bag. It's a present. It should be extra-convenient.
    - The Magic d20 is what generates cards, and it will only do so while the event is running. But you can continue to combine pairs of cards for prizes in perpetuity
    - The cards are unbound and, in fact, we're really hoping you guys compare notes and trade around to get the prizes that you want
    - There are ten cards that you can get through from the Magic d20. A few of those are rare, and those will generate much better prizes. Look at the content of the card for clues about the rarity of the card.
    - You can only combine two different types of card. Trust me, that's plenty of combinations. Each combination yields a different prize.

    Awesome!!!! Great idea guys!

Sounds like there should be 10x9 = 90 combinations for 90 different prizes if order matters. If order doesn't matter (which is more likely) divide this # by 2 for 45 combinations/prizes.

EDIT: +1 to Infiltrator for his insightful post.

What you got tired after coming up with 45 different prizes? (assuming the order you put the cards in does not matter)

Owlbear (VIII? or 7) + Kobold (I) = 5 medium jewels of fortune. Pretty nice.
Grell (VI) + Beholder (V) = 3 siberys spirit cakes

Then all the cards would be equally likely. You have some cards mapped to more than one number so that they become more common.

Can anyone confirm the same recipe works to get the same prize each time?

Looks like you get one bag per account. I logged in with two chars on Lama. Only the first received the stuffs.
(Can't test if you'd get one bag per server if you had alts across servers - given we only have one test server).
    So no use for alts.

I guess multiple accounts would work. I logged on using an old account and created a character on Lama. Got a birthday bag of stuff.

(Dungeon Master): The magic d20 can be used once per day, per account.
