8th Anniversary Trivia Events!

Hello! In celebration of eight years of DDO, I'll be in-game over the next couple of days conducting trivia events, and giving away prizes! Here's the schedule:

(All times Eastern, -5 GMT)

Thursday, February 27th:

Argonnessen 11:00 AM
Cannith 3:00 PM
Ghallanda 5:00 PM
Khyber 7:00 PM

Friday, February 28th:

Orien 11:00 AM
Sarlona 12:00 PM
Thelanis 7:00 PM
Wayfinder Wednesday, March 5th starting at NOON Eastern (-5 GMT)

How it will work:

I will be in-game using my official +Cordovan account. I will be putting up a public LFM, and will take the first five people who request to join each round. Once you join the LFM, you will be transported to a location where the trivia event will take place. I will conduct as many trivia rounds as I can, for approximately an hour on each server. If you can join the LFM, do it!

Participants will be asked DDO-related questions, and the first person to answer the question correctly will get a point. The first person to get three points wins. Determining who gets the opportunity to answer first will be done through an initiative roll: at the start of each question participants will /roll d20, and the person with the highest number will go first. If that person doesn't get the answer right, the next in line will answer, etc.

I will be giving out several prizes, including the Robe of Trivial Knowledge, Shen's Robe, funny chainshirts, Turbine Points, Snowy Owlbear Creature Companions and more! Every participant will get a prize!

NOTES: Some trivia events, particularly those taking place on Friday, may be broadcast live on our official Twitch stream here. If you would like to send me a /tell while I'm on the live servers hosting this event, I'll do my best to read it, but I expect the volume of /tells to possibly be too large to respond, so if I don't respond to you, it's not because I don't like you.

How long do you expect each event to last?
What if we participate, but something comes up so that we have to leave before the event is over? Will we still be rewarded? Or will the rewards be handed out after each round?

We'll see how long each round takes, but I'm hoping to fit in as many as I can during the hour I'll be on each server. If you have to leave, you have to leave! We'll see about rewarding early-leavers. No Eight-Year-Old Cake, but U21 will bring with it an anniversary card event/game.

Also, will the winners be able to choose between the more prestigious rewards or will they be awarded randomly?

Urgh. If I'm correct, this means the event on Khyber (and the largely European Wayfinder!) starts at 2:00 AM for Europe... Not that I'd expect to win anything, but to not even have the option is rather disappoiting.
Any chance of getting different times?

Please consider scheduling a round of these in the evenings for people who can't be online during the day due to RL work. If you can't do it because of your work schedule, perhaps you could find players to volunteer to run the events on the servers for you. Thanks.

Might want to up the number on the initiative roll. I had more then 20 folks at my little Trivia Night event a month or so back. Managing tie-breakers sucks when you are running something like this.

That's very cool, thanks! My knowledge of the game is too limited to do a trivia, so I'm very glad you're stepping up. Hope you get it organised
