Congratulations on the promotion [I think...having to deal with the antisocial people on these boards...ugh ] Vyvyanne!!!

You have a most impressive resume. DDO is by far the best game I have ever played and I look forward to what should be a very exciting year.

Welcome Vyvyanne. Thanks for the update.

Sad that DDOs 8th Anniversary is just U21 and thats it. Also 10th March is 10 days after the anniversary and its even 7 days after the EU DDO birthday (3rd March). A bit in shock thats it. Well at least we still have a game to play.

there is a reason it is skipped... it's called not fun, not good xp, not good look (bound to character)

    Welcome Vyvyanne

My first mmo was city of heros. My favorite moment was a stone tank where the rest of my party died and some big bad boss came at me as I was last one left alive and in tank mode with regen etc, i couldn't be killed but i had no offense to kill the boss. My party pleaded with me to die so they could move on to something else. I eventually redid the tank to something useful where i could kill mobs better, but it was still a funny moment where uber baddie couldn't hurt me and i couldnt' hurt it. if I recall they added some inherent agro there to tanks... hint hint...

Same could apply to my pally here too I guess, but my pally dies since AC was changed in motd. Tanking isn't enjoyable now as you can't kill, you can barely keep agro with intim and it's impossible to solo content with a tank build. please review enhancement point costs to allow us to go into the dps trees too.

We're pleased to say that we are currently putting the final touches on Update 21: Legendary Halls, and getting everything ready for its release on March 10th. We can't wait for you to see our reinterpretation of Ed Greenwood's classic Forgotten Realms module the Haunted Halls of Eveningstar, and we are also really looking forward to adventuring in the huge dwarven ruins of Thunderholme, complete with two new raids - including our first battle against a Shadow Dragon (well, technically she's a Shadow Dracolich, but try telling her that!)

We're also working with the newly-formed Players Council to discuss our plans to expand Three Barrel Cove into the Epic levels in Update 22. Our second update of the year will include new Guild Airships and amenities as well, so be on the lookout for a lot more information on those things in the near future. Our plans for the rest of the year were outlined recently by Rowan in a Producer's Letter in December, and we're still on track for that work as well!

Some of you may already know a bit about me, but I might be a new name for others. I've been a Producer on the DDO Team for the past three years, working behind the scenes to keep the gears turning and trains running on time. I've been playing DDO since the original Stormreach Beta, and have been working in the MMO business for more than a decade (my resume includes work on City of Heroes and Guild Wars as well.) I am also a tabletop D&D and LARP gamer. Expect to be seeing more of me lurking around the boards, reading your feedback, and occasionally answering a question or two!

    Cheers!

Well, it doesn't really look all that bad, but the loot isn't good either. TBH, TBC is pobably the top area that could be removed from the game and nobody would notice. Nice to see that there is an effort to make it relevant, but honestly, I'd rather see epic Waterworks. All that building epic TBC will do is double the number of places nobody visits -- except, of course, that you'll put the latest, greatest, must have items there so that it will be popular for a week or two first.

Never played Amtguard. I was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) for many years, but the LARPs I play are all local games with their own rulebooks.

Thank you for the warm welcome all!

It actually has a lot of fans. It's a lot of fun for some folks.

Main reason it is skipped is due to being too much content already at that level - the rest of which is easier to get to and faster to run (your point about xp is valid for this reason).
My take on "the grind": https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post6220972

Ordinary humans have inhibitions that serve as a buffer against what we know is bad behavior.
However, some people, by blaming others for their own bad behavior, develop a thought pattern that allows them to override self-control in order to achieve a selfish end.
    - My opinion on exploiters and cheaters blaming SSG for unfair punishment.

Welcome... though you were already here... so moreso welcome to the forums.

Will you be forum lurking/posting as much as a Rowan? (which was at least 85% higher and more relevant than a Fernando who was 50% more than a Kate). Note the trend. Keep it going please.
Why does Producer Glin never say hello anymore except on teh twitters?
Why didn't Rowan even say thanks and goodbye? Please feel free to smack him for us using Giant Nerf Device next time he passes by in the office.

Appreciate the Ed Greenwood VO's in the upcoming Haunted Halls. Any chance you can swing by New York to get Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen to VO your 3BC redo? Alternatively will accept Keith Baker voicing one of his own Eberron type creations. Always willing to accept Bruce "Two Chins" Campbell voice overs.

    K. thx. Make it so.

Getting really tired of running Eveningstar/High Road to level. More options at level (especially if they make this a 25-30 zone) are always good. These quests are run more than people think. Remember how much xp you will need to go from 28 to 30.

    Threnal
    The Restless Isles
    Phiarlain Carnival

    All these are forgetten areas

3Bc's main issue is not the quests, its the adventure area design, which makes you run around a very large outdoor area at low level to get to quests and quest givers. It basically makes the trip not worth the effort, in a level range that has a lot of quests with good xp per minute and very easy access.

3BC heroic needs to be shifted to the 12-15 range and teleporters added to both heroic and epic

    Thumbs up Guild ship portals

So for the Guild ship add ons please tell me that somehow between the Scholars of the Twelve and the Arch mages from the combined 2 worlds they have finally been able to figure out how to get a guild ship to drop you off/pick you up in Forgotten Realms. Someplace kinda centrally located would be nice

    Thank you for the message.

I guess what I would like to know is will there be any new content beyond 2014? Is DDO going to go into maintenance mode like Asheron's call?
