Default Dwarf Tank/DPS fun build ideas out there?

Want to build a toon that can take a beating and support the team. Possibly as a tank with good saves. Was thinking some kind of Pally/Fighter combo with rogue or monk for evasion? A different splash for another benefit? Any ideas for good builds out there? I will have one Barb past life and loads of great axes to fight with. Maybe I can be DPS with the great ax and Tank with sword and shield. Any thoughts? Can anyone point me to a fun build?

Have a look at my Dwarven Defender and Kundarak Wall threads for some build ideas. Although truth be told, 99% of the time you'd be better off with one of those FotM monk / Kensei builds: better DPS, good survivability from Shadow Form + Iron Skin, decent threat amp from Master / GM Earth Stance + Ki Shout or Intim. S&B builds got a little love in U19 (e.g., Shield Striking, Block&Cut); but monks got way more lovin'.

I appreciate the reply for sure. I really want to play some kind of dwarf with great axes. Is my only choice in this game really a monk combo of something? Maybe I should just drop the dwarf idea and play some kind of Druid caster. ANy ideas for one of those?

You aren't required to do anything; the vast majority of DDO content isn't challenging enough to demand minmaxing if you know what you're doing, IMHO. That said, conventional S&B tanking isn't usually necessary these days; "good DPS + good saves + self-healing" is usually more than enough to win the day.

    Well, about dwarves with axes...
I (really) tried an Eldritch Knight my past 2 lives.

Using dwarven's PrE Throw Your Weight Around (con to damage)

First I tried a pure wiz max int, second in con, with medium armor.
The veredict: Very annoying to be a decent DC caster with the long cooldown of the Tenser's Transformation and having to swap gear around among DC, spell power and melee.

Second life 2/18-fighter/wiz with max con and second in int.
    The Veredict: Awesome!!

I went pale master until Shroud of the Wraith, eldritch until -35% Arcane Failure.
1300 HP and 2000 SP at level 28 in FotW.

The build is awesome, very fun to play, easy to solo and even tried some EE with success.
Didn't have problem with to-hit, with no investment in str besides tome, buff and +10 item.
Very fun to turn on the death aura and use madstone boots for even more con and damage.

Now I'm on a sun-elf PM life, but I'm already missing my EK fun.

You could play around with the splashes as I think the 18 wiz didn't give me more benefit than a 12, Id' say (except for Powerword Kill and Irresistible Dance and I didn't check class level requirements on the PrEs, though).

I had maxed THF line and two shield mastery feats, so I could always rely on dwarven axes and shield.
The eH or eE Bulwark of the Storm's Fist was present in all my weapon sets.

With waves of exaustion, ice storm and acid fog, enemies are slow gimps.

What I would change if I'd go EK again?
I think I would drop the heavy armor if running EE. I'd be better off with dodge and evasion.

(Note: This toon is on it's 25th life with multiple wiz, fvs and clr lives besides 3 of pal, mnk, sor and a few others. The build was solid, but my player experience counts for the success too)

Get some silver flame pots and look up the pure barbarian dwarf occult slayer build.

Then die repeatedly, but still have fun with a really odd build.

Thanks guys. I realize nothing is officially required however I see so many of the Monk multi-classes running around. I have one I am playing with on a another toon just to see what its all about. I got a little bored of him so he is on the shelf at the moment. I decided to try Druid instead of going Tank Dwarf. I may look into this Eldrich Knight line to see what that's about next time around. Are there any builds around that are interesting? Also wondering if there are any good links that help with Druid building.
