Default Legends of Orien is an open guild accepting new members.

Legends of Orien is a very large, open guild. An open guild means that we accept anyone who wants to join our guild as long as we have room and they have not caused problems in the past. We have been an open guild since shortly after Orien came online as a DDO server, though we were not a large guild back then. Our current guild leader was the original founder of the guild and has been the guild leader during its entire history. He still plays daily. We are one of the few well established guilds on Orien that actively recruits brand new players. By well established I mean guilds that have been around for more than a year and have had stable leadership for that time.

Our only rules are 1) be polite and 2) have fun playing DDO. All of our guild policies derive from those two simple rules. As you can probably tell from rule #2, our focus is on fun. We are very much a low maintenance guild. We try hard not to impose at all on our members' freedom to play DDO the way they want to play it. We occasionally do raids as a guild but for the most part our members do their own thing, which often involves grouping with fellow guild members of course. We encourage our members to organize and run guild events (such as raids) but these are on a completely voluntary basis.

We are a very large guild. The largest and most active, in terms of number of online players, on Orien over the last few years. It does not matter what time of day or day of week you are online, if you do a /who and sort by guild you will always find more Legends of Orien members online playing DDO than any other guild. Give it a try if you doubt me. Because we have so many members we have players of every level, every class, and every experience level from total newbs to full completionist vets in our guild. We also have a wide variety of play-styles represented in our membership from soloists to pure guild party players to PUG'ers to PVP'ers and even a few RP'ers. So it's a pretty safe bet that there are some players just like you already in our guild.

We do remove inactive characters from our guild after 1 month of inactivity (2 weeks if under level 5) but we gladly welcome them back into the guild if they return to DDO and we have room for them in the guild. The only reason we remove inactive characters is because of the DDO guild size cap. We are a very large guild and we have hit the guild size cap often. If there were no guild size cap we would not need to remove inactive characters. For the same reason we ask our members to not bring non-questing alts into the guild. Every character counts toward the guild size cap and we want to reserve our guild slots for questing characters so that more players can join us and all of our members will enjoy more online members to quest with when they are playing.

If you are interested in joining our huge, crazy family, you can contact our guild leader in-game. His character name is Kaang. If Kaang is not online when you are, then feel free to send him an in-game mail. You can also contact Kaang or any of our officers in-game if you have questions about our guild or you can visit our guild forums at http://legendsoforien.proboards.com/ or just reply to this thread. See you in the game and don't forget to have fun!

Just want to clarify here, your alts are welcome in the guild as long as you plan to quest with them.

    Just a quick update:

Legends of Orien is again openly accepting requests to join us. We did temporarily stop accepting new members for a little while due to the severe guild airship vulnerability bugs introduced with update 22. However, all of those vulnerabilities were corrected with patch 22.2, so we are once again accepting new members. Also we recently completed filling our new airship with all of the amenities available in DDO, thanks to our generous members and officers! So if you wanted to join us but were told we were no longer accepting new members, that is no longer the case and all you need to do is contact an officer and join us. We really disliked turning people away during the time of the airship vulnerability bugs and we are very happy to be a truly open guild again!

Send a tell to Kaang/Leali or one of many officers: Spyt/Voidmare, Synica/Deestra, Meemau/Whitetights, etc.

We always are as long as we are not full, which does happen occasionally. But even if we are full, slots usually open up pretty quickly because people are always deleting characters and because we remove long-time inactive characters frequently.

After more than 5 years of uninterrupted guild leadership, Kaang has finally stepped aside and given the leadership of Legends of Orien over to a new leader. The new leader of Legends of Orien is Darcsyde! Yay!

Kaang is still an officer of the guild and still logs in fairly often to visit the guild that he started so long ago.

Legends of Orien is still going strong under Darcsyde's leadership and is still the largest and most active guild on Orien. And Legends of Orien has now reached guild level 192! So everyone please send Darcsyde a note of support and congratulations when you are online.

See you all in the game.

Nah, it's just that Kaang has been a fixture around here for so long that it's like the end of era and I was emphasizing that longevity. Perhaps with a little too much emphasis it seems.

    Default New to game

Hi I'm new and looking to join a friendly guild! Just started a Warlock a few days ago. I have experience with several MMO's and I want to have some fun. Warlock's name is Azuva Edna. Think you have room for me?
