    Default New seasonal hirelings

    Dear Devs,

what do you think about Special seasonal hirelings? Last night, we guildies talked about hirelings and asked "well, why not some new?" So we came to the idea to suggest, seasonal with the Festivals, a red-cloaked, Long White beard dwarven Santa-Clause cleric and his dark sidekick rupprecht quarterstaff´/club fighter for Xmas or, now that easterfestival Comes, a big White rabbit barbarian with bite and kick attacks. Or something like that. We like our regular hires, but maybe you could spread in some additional fun We know that it could make drift it into comical, but it´s "Fantasy" too.

That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!

    UDR Loot Rules:
    1) No griefing people for pulling loot that dropped in their name
    2) When rolling, classes for which the item is "useful" get +10 to the roll
example: Wiz and Barb both roll on a Torc, the barb saying "I'm TRing into an arcane next week"
Wiz gets +10 on his roll

    I love this idea.

Each could give a special buff as well. They should come in incremental level versions (none can co-exist in a party) so almost anyone can use it.

They should also be Exclusive for balance so that we don't see too many of these out of season. One in inventory, one in personal bank, one in shared (BTA) if someone wanted to stock up. Nothing ticks me off more than a Jack-o-Lantern head cast on me in the middle of winter.

Can the Santa summon a reindeer that shoots lightning bolts from its eyes? I'd hire that Santa.

Well, I know I'm not really responding to the OP, but when anyone brings up the topic of ways to improve hirelings I feel this robotic need to repeat that what we really need is permanent hirelings who level with us.
