Would anyone mind helping me farm up Alchemical Crafting mats?

I have two characters wielding alchemical weapons right now- a dex-based fighter/rogue who utilizes two kukris and an Intimitank Paladin with a bastard sword.

I'm trying to gather the mats to refine the alchemical weapons. I only just managed to assign them metal types, and am now looking to refine them further. However, i have very little experience with the House Cannith quests and raids. To that end, i'm looking for players that don't mind spending some time helping me figure out which mats I need, where to get them, and then helping me run through the appropriate quests to gather the mats. I have a little bit of in-game money i can offer as compensation.

I know about what i want to aim for in terms of weapon abilities and the like- for instance, i'm not bothering with mystical enhancements, i'm going for martial enhancements), but figuring out what goes where and is gathered from which quest is proving to be absolutely mind-boggling to me. I'm primarily interested in elemental spirits, khyber binding dragonshardthingamjibs and the various and sundry power cells required to energize the whole shebang.

If you don't mind helping me out with quest runs, information on the most efficient ways to gather the mats, etc- please send me a mail in-game. The characters you're most like to reach me on are Keiten or Awrestis.

Hi Inoctus. I'm from Orien, so I can't help you raid as I have no Sarlona toons, but I could offer some general guidelines.

As for who to run with, on Sarlona I believe the High Lords are doing raid training events, so you may want to consider requesting they run LoB, as that is the raid which has everything you need (MA has some shards, but its mostly for the weapons which you have). I believe Tobril in the past has also run raid training events, so you may want to contact him.

As for figuring out Alchemi Crafting, as far as I know there is no comprehensive, clearly written guide, but all the information is on the wiki, mostly under the three stations (melting, reforging, binding). They key is in deciding which elements you want to bind to your weapons first from the third station, the working back to make the base ingredients for this at the first two stations. I usually write it all down so I don't have to run back to reforg or melt once I've moved on.

As to what to put on your weapons, unless you are doing trip air handwraps, you'll get the most payoff from mixing up some of the elements on each tier. For tier 1, air is the least useful for melees unless you use stunning blow a lot. Fire is popular for the seeker +10 effect if you don't already have a source of that, and air and earth provide some nice cc abilities, which are particularly effective if you have significant sneak attack damage. For tier 2, fire is fairly weak as it only provides good DR breaking and the underwhelming incineration ability. Air is also on the weaker side unless you're running a dex build toon. Earth and Water are both strong though some casters hate crushing wave as it supposedly still dispels Niac's, and the unique buff to Con from earth makes it the strongest t2 choice. T3 is irrelevant which element you pick, as they all are the same just with a different element, so I just usually use the first t3 spirit I get from an EN run. Hope that helps.

I would echo Leclaire1's post. Check for players in the who under the high lords guild. They raid fairly frequently, are very helpful, and most likely would give you all the mats in the run because most of them are past that content or have tons of their own. Same with me. I may not have the mats or gear, but I never have problems giving away loot especially if it is stuff I won't need for a long time.

I myself haven't done the house c stuff often, but I will after I get my two high end toons into their mid 20's since I will grind those quests and content for ingredients and favor instead of exp.

I would be up for it as well, I havent ran much of House C quests, but I love the challenges and always looking to hit 40 favour.

The Lord of Blades raid drops most the materials. Some folks prefer to run heroic. Here is some info. from wiki:

Difficulty differences:
Normal - High drop rate for regular spirits (8% per player per spirit type). Low drop rate for refined spirits (3% per player per spirit type). Drops lots of Binding Fragments and a 50% chance to drop some Refined Fragments.
Hard - Medium drop rate for refined spirits (6% per player per spirit type). Drops Refined Fragments only.
Elite - High drop rate for refined spirits (8% per player per spirit type). Refined Fragments only.
Epic Normal - High drop rate for exquisite spirits. Refined Fragments only.
Epic Hard - Moderate drop rate for regular spirits and refined spirits. Drops both Refined and Exquisite fragments.
Epic Elite - High drop rate for regular spirits, low drop rate for refined spirits. Drops Exquisite fragments.
Cells - Greater Cannith Power Cells have a 10/15/20/25% drop rate. Martial cells have a 9/12/15/18% rate. Mystical cells also have 9/12/15/18% rate.
Collectables: Two bookshelves at the end.
NPC rewards: Standard. Select from 8 random items. Max ML18. Special rewards on every 10th completion: Your choice of standard spirit, cell or compound. Also a small chance at a random refined spirit.

I'm currently working on 4 repeaters and 2 dog collars (wraps). I'm off timer

First off i want to apologize for the lateness of my response. I didn't realize that people were still responding to the thread!

Secondly, i want to say that i really appreciate the support everyone has given me here on the forums and in the game itself. Because of all of you, i've managed to finish the weapons i was trying to build and am considering alchemical items on a few of my other toons.

Well, i ran MA and LoB this weekend. Didnt get the blank I needed. I plan on running MA heroic hard for more trys at the blanks and then a LoB. should be off timer tuesday night if any are interested. Flagged 2 toons for it so will try twice if possible/time permits. Look for the LFM in the evenings.

Since I lasted posted I TR'ed that toon, however coming back up into the teens now and should be ready to start running House C quests and LoB

I figure in about 2 weeks I should be ready to join in on the farming. I have never ran LoB and looking to learn it.
