Default Anyone try DDO on Microsoft Surface Pro2?

I'm planning to replace my 5 year old laptop with a Surface Pro2. A few youtube videos show it has decent gaming performance (which was a pleasant surprise), so was thinking DDO would run okay (with an external monitor... wouldn't try it on a 10" screen). I also saw a few posts of dowloading problems with Windows 8.1, which has me concerned, but seems like some folks got past it. If anyone has actually tried DDO with a Surface Pro2, I'd sure appreciate hearing how it is. Thanks.

Guess I'll be the pioneer. Will post back here how it goes... once my local Microsoft store has the 256GB version and docking station in stock.

    Default Runs like a champ

Purchased the 256GB Surface Pro2 this afternoon and played some DDO this evening. Graphics set on high was very smooth. Graphics set on very high was smooth, too, but not used to playing with shadows on, so went to a custom setting to turn them off. Sound was much better than my laptop, too. Overall, I couldn't be happier.

Using mouse and keyboard I hope. O.o

    But yeah, runs surprisingly well.

Yes, I have a bluetooth mouse and keyboard that work very well. Used them with my laptop and now the Surface Pro 2.

Have had the game just quit on me three times for no apparent reason in the last couple days. Once in a public area, once in a wilderness area, and once at the start of a quest. Got back in within a minute will no ill effects. Has be slightly worried that this might happen during a critical fight during a quest, though. We shall see.
