Sigil ties in to EVERYTHING.

You could even have really, really strange stories from there. Like 'Shavarath is invaded by the Nine Hells of Baator through a planar breach. The heros must battle through hordes of clashing devils, opportunistic demon raids, and their servants to reach the breach and attempt to collapse it! But it is guarded by a Hellfire Wyrm!'

Btw - Hellfire Wyrm isn't /actually/ a dragon. It's a Baatezu that looks like a dragon (mostly, except for the hellfire everywhere and the palpable aura of Law and Evil around it) and has a breath weapon (hellfire). Otherwise, it's mostly just a big, tough, horrifying Baatezu. I guess they primarily exist to tempt dragons into contracts (and to kick butt in the Blood War.)

I stated that Lords of Waterdeep should be the next paid expansion for 2015.

So you stated something wrong. Happens to the best of us. They need to get the heck out of the FR. Either expand the Eberron material, or just go crazy with some Dark Sun, Ravenloft, or Planescape stuff. But no more FR.

I didn't state the Waterdeep expansion as a fact, but as a suggestion. Whatever the next big content update is, it will almost definitely be in the Forgotten Realms for the reasons we have already discussed in this thread. If Waterdeep isn't the next paid expansion, some other significant place in the Forgotten Realms will probably be next. Dark Sun, Ravenloft, et al. won't be addressed until the Forgotten Realms has been largely built out, and perhaps not even then as WoTC wants to promote FR.
