I recently TR'd my lvl 20 Warforged Artificer, Ironshok, to his 2nd life as a Wizard. I read the articles on the wiki carefully before doing it so I could understand the process and take all the pre-TR precautions. I have a VIP account and was carrying 2,625,268 plat so I wanted to be sure the money was safe too.
After a successful TR process, imagine my surprise to find my Cannith Crafting reduced by 10 levels in each school! I was 100 in Arcane and Elemental, and 76 in Divine before. Now the numbers are 90, 90 and 66 respectively. No where did I read that this would happen upon TRing. Did I miss the memo? My understanding was that my number of shards made and number of items deconstructed would reset to zero. No problem. My total crafting experience number remained the same. Did this effect my crafting levels somehow? Or did the class change from Artificer to Wizard have something to do with it?
It will take a lot of work and gathering to regain those 10 crafting levels. Especially since it appears the essence drop rates from chests seems to have decreased substantially.
BTW, I also lost about 7000 or so plat as well. Something else that shouldn't have happened from what I've read.
If anyone could shed some light on this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Simple.. you had bonus levels to craft because you were an Artificer and you no longer are one.

Artificers get bonuses to crafting. Wizards do not.

Ok, that makes sense. Arti -> Wiz loses some crafting levels. I created Ironshok some time ago and forgot all about the crafting bonuses. Thanks for the replies.
