Read the blog and I can understand what you're going through! I've been leading guilds on many, many different games from 2008 on and so I have a rather diverse background when it comes to the sort of populace one can see and bring into the fold. I think the one huge issue that guild leaders have, and what I've seen most often, (not to say that you have this issue though it might be something you'd like to look into), is that guild leaders tend to focus more on the guild itself than the people inside of it. Yes, you have to manage the guild and it's health, but without the members within that guild, it's meaningless. A leader should be focused on cultivating the connections not only between himself and the guildies, but between all of the other guildies within, making sure that they all are familiar with one another and like partying with eachother no matter the situation. A group that gets along goes along.
    Keep on rollin'.

Yeah I definitely agree and I do my best to recruit players that are laid back and like to group with each other. Typically I find myself kind of being like the middle hub. The guildies tend to be fine grouping with each other as long as I initiate it but send to fly solo when I'm not there. Or at least that is sense I'm getting. However, that could also be due to the fact that newer guildies are still trying to learn who are all the other players and their characters. But it is moving along..
