12 Fighter 5 Paladin 3 Monk build idea...

Looking for some feedback on a build I am playing with.

Some background, my toon is already level 20 and will be using his +20 heart of wood to LR into this build, so the order I take feats from level 1 to 20 is not important.
My toon is a HORC with no past lifes, his gear is pretty basic however he does have 2 x lit 2 Kopesh's, the plan is to eventually change this to Bastard Swords when I get better weapons (I do have 2 Raiders Reward Boxes so could DW "Nightmare, The Fallen Moon" and spec into BS's from the start saving a feat swap later on).

My main is a pure barbarian and I am constantly dying in epic hard content so want a toon that can dps and self heal without silver flame pots (although I do want the pots for emergency situations).

Why 5 paladin? The second smite per rest?

I think youd be better off going 4monk for the auto granted dodge.

Then once youve done that I think 6 monk is so close that you should probably pick it up, saving you a feat, gaining an extra monk bonus feat, and access to 25% incorperability.

Then I see you end up with a 12/6/2

At this point the saves from paladin are nice, but its a pity having to use a twist in order to pick up divine might. So I start to consider going 2fvs instead, cause the warpriest tree is quite nice.

Before you burn your +20 heart, make absolutely sure that you can actually LR into this. Basically, if you have any other class than Paladin, Fighter or Monk on your current character, you risk running into problems.

Having said that, I agree with fTdOmen - 5 Paladin levels is an unusual split which doesn't really offer much. I'd go either 6 (for defensive stance) or 4 (for Turn Undead and Empower Healing). Monk 3 unlocks Shintao Core II and Ninja Poison, but I reckon you'll be kind of tight on AP so this might not be a huge loss.

I'd drop OTWF and pick up Dodge instead. If you do go Paladin 6, make sure to take Sovereign Host rather than Silver Flame as your religious feat.

EDIT: I forgot defensive stance will of course be availbable from Fighter too, so really the only benefit from Paladin 6 is Unyielding Sovereignty.

Also Monk 3 gives ki strikes, but they'll be very weak and between Cleaves, Smites and Fists of Iron, I'd be surprised if you can work them into your rotation.

I'm doing a similar build, but I decided on fighter 8/monk 6/paladin 6. This got me paladin stance, monk 25% incorporeal, and centered in kensai with bastard swords. I also went PDK for charisma to hit and damage (better sinergy with paladin and saves), but you will not have that option on a lesser. Same idea though, dual wield Nightmares, with light monk healing, 2 Nightmare healing, and lay on hands, will be very survivable will great saves. Only 16 now, but I like him so far.

Had just enough feats for what I wanted to grab, but enhancement points are super tight. Could not take everything I wanted. Had some hard choices.

Ive currently got a 17 Paladin, 2 Rogue, 1 Fighter Drow which I really dont enjoy. Im wondering what options I have with my LR20.

I am thinking either 8 Fighter or 12 Fighter, maybe 2 Paladin, then the rest in Rogue? Or is 12 Fighter, 6 Paladin, 2 Rogue a better option?

Yep. Sometimes the better option is to TR and start again.

Alignment is a problem, but I have decided to buy a realignment from the store should I want to go with this build. Not sure what you mean by more than 3 classes though, fighter is one class, paladin a second and monk a third.

During the LR process, your current classes and alignment counts toward the 3 class limit as well.

Let's say you're a pure 20 Rogue, and want to LR into this following the order in your first post. At level 1, you'll replace 1 level Rogue with 1 level Monk, and you'll actually be considered 19 Rogue/1 Monk rather than a level 1 Monk. At level 2, 18 Rogue/1 Monk/1 Fighter. At level 3, 17 Rogue/1 Monk/1 Fighter/1 Paladin - which is a total of 4 classes, and thus illegal.

And if you have Druid, Barb or Bard levels you're out of luck, as you can't change your alignment into Lawful Good before LR, and can't do it during LR since you're still considered to have those levels.

If you could provide information about your current alignment, class split and when you took each level, it would help a lot in answering whether your plan will work or not.
