VoN3 XP change

Well, I havent seen any posts on it but I just wanted to comment on the proposed xp change.

I think a nerf was in order, but I think the new xp level is a bit too harsh. Halving the xp on a relatively long quest is a bit overdone. I would be fine with a reduction to 30k for example.

The problem here is that you presume everyone can zerg it very quickly. Some can, but it should be balanced towards the average player, not the powertripper.

I am the average player. I will never set a speed record, I stop to see what that sparkly is over there, and I meander about and thanks to my add and lack of internal sense of direction, even after five years still get losts in quests.

And I still average between fifteen to 20 minutes for that quest. I think the old xp was a hoot, but not really reflective of the effort. It's still good xp, and the quest is still fun. It just won't be the xp grinders baby anymore, but it will still offer players a lot.

I have no qualms over the change. A boost to optionals, reduction to base.

Then they boosted other quests by large amounts. Again, no issues there.

People will still farm von3. It is too fast to be undesirable.

So you have checked the quest xp on Lammania and seen a rise in optional xp? Can you confirm this? Normaly the optional xp is tied to the base xp and when the base xp is halved the optional xp is also halved.

Actually people seem to forget that this quest also has a pre-quest (takes roughly 1 minute to complete) and the main quest can take a few minutes, but the real boost to the XP is all the optionals (5~9 each run for up to 67.5% bonus XP), an easy breakable bonus, and easy trap bonus (3 guaranteed 4 is "rare").

Most people are reporting 10k in optionals versus 7k on live. When I get a chance to test my toon later today, I will run von3 to get some solid numbers. However it is tied to base, it is a variable amount off base, so it can increase.

I don't really presume anything. At least in epics, I want most quests comparable in xp/min. I may be faster at running Von 3 than most, but then I'm also likely faster at running other quests than the average. To me, the xp/min in von 3 seems more intune with other quests. That should go for all types of players.
