    Default Unyielding Sentinel Buffs

    Unyielding Sentinel
NEW: Text clarified in some cases to make the benefits for each rank of Epic Destiny Abilities more clear.
NEW: Undying Vanguard no longer requires charging up, can be used once per rest, and has a two minute cooldown.
NEW: Ward Against Evil's 20% chance to trigger has been raised to 100%.
NEW: Intolerant Blows has been reworked: "Expend one use of Smite Evil: For 60 seconds you gain +200% Sacred bonus to threat generation and deal +1[W] damage."
NEW: Purify Weapon no longer has a stance requirement.

    Thoughts.

    Ward Against Evil
10d6 Good Damage comes to 35 damage returned per hit against you.
Against Turigulon's 130,000 hit points in EE Devil's Assault and attack you once per second...

    Before
    You deal 1500 dps. Monster dies in 87 seconds. (130,000 / 1500 = 87)
    After
    You deal 1500 dps + 35 dps. Monster dies in 85 seconds. (130,000 / 1535 = 85)
    Result
    No discernible difference

    Intolerant Blows
Exalted Smite: You deal +67 dmg, +2 critical threat range, +2 critical multiplier.
    Balizard 15-20/x3

    Before
    Exalted Smite Damage
    167*0.6+167*5*0.4-100*0.6-100*3*0.3 = 284 damage bonus
    After
    Intolerant Blows Damage
    5.85 damage * 1.8 hits per second * 60 seconds = 631 damage bonus
Net Gain: 347 damage per minute. or 5.7 DPS
    Result
    No discernible difference

    Undying Vanguard
    Before
3-4 uses per Fall of Truth
    After
1 use per Fall of Truth
    Result
    No discernible difference

This ability will see more use in CitW but will generally be less useful in FoT and LoB due to the once/rest restriction. This current nerf will make it slightly worse than the Sun Elf Tier 1 Rejuvenation at Dawn and moderately worse than Unyielding Sovereignty. Why? Because the rest shrine limitation makes it less useful the more difficult the content is.
Epic Moment vs Level 6 Paladin Ability. Unyielding Sovereignty wins.
Epic Moment vs Level 1 Sun Elf Ability. Rejuvenation at Dawn wins, but it is close.

    Net Effect:
You gain about 40 extra DPS in exchange for losing multiple uses of your epic moment in raids.

The only thing to be said in favour of the Intolerable Blow change is that it now gives a chance to actually sustain agro.

I'm not sure 200% is enough to do that though?

And there are barely any scenarios where it's worthwhile? (new raids perhaps?)

I predict that one or both of the new raids will be designed by Turbine to use at least one heavy armor, sword and shield tank. After the first completion (or maybe even during) the community will figure out that a monk can do it better.
