Sell those XP pots!

Heh, I guess they realized that having XP so out of whack with CoV drops was hurting XP pot sales. So they fixed it! From the latest release notes:

NEW: The XP bonus found on Experience Elixirs, VIP bonuses, Guild Airship amenities and items now also increases the Commendation of Valor return found in End Reward lists

Hey, guild ship xp shrine works too. Not perfect, but a start. I assume Voice of the Master works as well.

If you plan to do ALL quests without ever turning them in and repeating.... cuz you gonna need more than one potion

HOWEVER, it helps a lot WHILE leveling to get more CoVs and not falling behind as much, because you had xp boosts. Otherwise XP Boosts are penalizing you.

So yes, this change seems like a good idea to me and a step in the right direction.

The wording in the release notes is vague. Still, enough to possibly rejoice over.

This is why cov's need to drop in end chests. If not then the system will be abused.

Well I suppose I could have suggested doing all of this right before an epic TR with all your sagas prepped as well to get the xp bonus on all the saga rewards as well as the com bonus on all the quest rewards, but that would just be insane.

depends on how die hard you are to getting Comms. the notes also say boat xp buff, VIP bonus and items so you can still earn increased Comms without xp pots. how much more and what items exactly (all the xp items in game?) all depends on what you are using to earn them.

No. The most intelligent solution is to lower the CoVs needed to ER. It's not that hard. I don't want to buff with the XP shrine or drink a 5% XP pot from House C because of CoVs on my capped character. Cmon. The smartest thing is to lower the number and call it a day.

yes, I agree that they should have lowered the Comms and done their formula properly when figuring out Comms earned by cap with better data numbers, but this is Turbines way to meet us half way. i actually feel lied to when they changed Comms from saga end rewards to quest end rewards because it certainly didn't end up like they said it would. I doubt we will see anything better than this and eventually we are getting more ways/places to earn Comms. when more players report their data on how much extra Comms they are earning without xp pots, i can make a better analysis of how i feel about this.

Adding them again to Saga rewards is also something they could and should have done. I wouldn't call that "meet us half-way honestly". They have had enough reports that the number is too high, they just don't care.

It clearly states the bonuses (Experience Elixirs, VIP bonuses, Guild Airship amenities and items) that add to the number so I don't think tomes count either.
