    Default With Quivering Palm reviewed, Dev Please Do Something More

    I can hardly call the current endgame (EE) balanced in any aspect.

    I would like to propose the following 3 simple suggestions for balancing current endgame:

    1. Adrenaline from Fury of the Wild should only work on the first damage from Manyshot and/or Ten Thousand Star

    2. All shiradi procs can only work once per spell cast; or maybe the procs should not be amplified by spell powers

    3. Review the formulas used for calculating epic elite mobs/bosses' hit points, damages, saves and spell dcs. Reduce them.


    I think the highly inflated epic elite mobs/bosses' hit points, damages, saves and spell dcs are the only reason why people choose to only play moncher/shiradi toons to do the endgame contents. Playing any other characters will be significantly less fun and less powerful. This is not good for the diversity and future of the game.

    Trash Mob HP is fine, maybe some Orange/Reds should be reviewed.

    I wouldn't cry if mob damage-output too a bit of a nerf.

    Mobs with 500k HP, dealing 400 dmg per swing is not challenging, it's boring. Challenging is something like LoB.

    Mobs don't have 500k hps, red named do. As for the 400 dmg per hit, build for mitigation and take a relatively balanced party.

    I am of the school of thought that they should nerf/change current spell damage and ranged capabilities and increase mob damage output especially mob/boss ranged and spell damage on epic elite at least in certain quests. What I would like to see is a few quests where a more traditional party is the optimum way to complete the quest. Sometimes it is fun to run with a healer, a tank or more damage absorption melee and a few others. Tanks and Healers are lepers in all quests right now which is pretty tiresome. Raids help the healers and tanks cause for sure, but Turbine is not planning to make many raids so a few quests which are different is warranted in my opinion.

    For 2. I think even just having the Shiradi proc use the same metamagic as the spell - so you cant cast a standard Magic Missiles and get Maximised and Empowered procs. You have to cast a Maximised and Empowered Magic Missiles.

    For 1. I think they should only have the first arrow of each volley in Manyshot and 10k have any special effects work on it. The remainder are standard arrows. Im pretty sure this is how it works in PnP and I dont know why they didnt do it in DDO.

    6 toons with between 2 and 12 Monk levels is balanced? I guess there is always room for 1 or 2 Shiradi Sorc/Wiz...

    Divines should stay well clear. Their only purpose is to hjeal in raids (when the raid isnt made up of 8 or 10 Monks and 2 or 4 Shiradi Sorc/Wiz).

    I don't think I've ever been in a 6 man group with more than 2 monks and more than 1 caster. Raids are slightly different, I don't really run many these days tbh, but I certainly wouldn't take more than 2 casters, with the 'state' of the game i'd be taking 12 monkchers. Where inherently lies the problem.

    Ive been in groups with 4 or 5 Monks, and groups with only casters. Its very rare to see a group with more than 1 Fighter or Barb or Cleric or Rogue, or Arty, or Druid, or... well... I guess its easier to say:

    Its very rare these days to ever group with multiple toons of the same class unless they are: Monks/Monkchers/Sorcs.

    Most people seem to have given up on flavour and are settling on FotM.
