Whats the secret with Defenceless challenge

Can seem to figure this one out,any advise would be helpful.

Pretty much what Hendrik said, since, you know, you didn't specify what problem you were having. Are you unable to defend the life trees? Unable to kill the bosses? What?

In generally the Druid Grove challenges are quite challenging without a group. WITH a group they're usually pretty easy. Defenseless can be tough because it spawns lots of drow casters that can Wreck Your **** if you aren't prepared to deal with them.

There is a slight trick in that the bosses have a DPS threshhold--you don't have to completely damage them down to kill them. Once you get enough damage on them, they will suddenly explode. This is good because the time is extremely short.

You don't HAVE to kill the mob spawns to get a star (just keep them busy). So the priority should be getting the bosses down in order to get the 2 stars from that. Otherwise just upgrade the trees.

Last time I did this challenge the trees were actually mis-labeled, it tells you that you need about twice as many life points to upgrade them as you actually do. So try clicking the upgrade early to see how soon you can do it. It's utterly necessary to upgrade the trees as quickly as possible in order to get the full stars.

Im having trouble getting the first star,I have got close but the casters are kicking my ass.

I will try upgrading the trees and if that wont work gonna see if a party will help.

Works for me:

1. Get someone with blitz
2. Upgrade trees as soon as possible
3. Check general chat for direction of incoming waves (floating text with that hints isnt always working for me)

(*to 1: basically thats the most important part, but if you have it, even soloing is easy)

Sorry I didn't mention upgrading Tree's right away - I assumed that was a no-brainer.



You are going to want a party for these - a full one is best.

Apparently I am a no-brainer!

Couple days ago I tried to solo "The Great Tree" challenge -- on a bard, no less. Kept every tree alive without much difficulty, but 2-3 minutes before time ran out it became obvious that 1400 Life Energy will not happen. Upgraded one tree, but it was too late.
