I've played a Quivering Monk with high dc, but it's not that uber. You need to build up your toon only around the dc, and wis so you have a huge loss in the dps, and a quiver build need tons of ki for shadow veil/abudant step/stunning fist/ lily petals/quiver, and in EE mode you need to run on earth stance as of the great prr synergy or die in two shots. If you could run EE with fire stance that would be overpowered. I did few EE solo, and wasn't that easy to kill trash, miles away from monkcher and shiradi sorc. If yuo manage to kill all the trash, now I want to see you killing the red named with a very low dps, that's very overpowerd ahahahaahah, again a monkcher is just using the one button slaying arrow-->fury-->manyshot--> done.
If you nerf monkcher and shiradi sorc/wiz first then nerf Qp.
I have all the caster pl and completionist, and I was so disappointed that a 1st life shiradi is ten thousand time better than my wizard DC and SR that i rerolled into monk, now time to reroll again. Spent so many shard on building quiver dc equip, to see that nerfed again, thanks.

Game changes like this happens, but rerolling at this stage is ludacris. If they can nerf this flavour build thing, then what is going to happen to monk splashes, nerve venom, no DC knockdowns and so on...? I would love to hear the thought process about this from Turbine.
I hope something happen in the near future. Those day I log in and see monkcher/shiradi sorc and Sos/Cleaver centered build, how boring is that? No way you can find a 20 pure build or something without monk/pally splashes. Small buff for all 18 core ench. Huge buff for all capstone.
Great nerf, Turbine. I like the dynamic aspect of the new system....very monkish. And it'll still allow a monk to instakill every few monsters
The only part i dont like is the 3min timer on the buildup. Its completely unnecessary and limits using the buildup strategically

Broken meaning overpowered and in need of balancing.
We the community have been discussing this OP ability in several threads before. It has been shown why and how it is broken and turbine saw it rly was. Thus the upcomming change.
Now that it is fixed, i see no reason to discuss it further because some of the broken feature users whine on the forums and refuse to see logic. GJ turbine! One of the first monk nerfs i hope.

Make it DC 10 base + monk level + wis mod and let Grandmaster of Flowers increase monk level, or change it to character level. So this way we have a 10 + 25 level (or 28 if character level) + 25 wis bonus with 60 wisdom for a total of 60/63 DC.
And then you can add if you want a increase in KI and cooldown, but add damage if the enemy save, the damage should be based on wisdom and added to the base damage of the hit, like Slaying arrows work now. The damage should be significant, lets say wis bonus x6/8/10 or something like that. Or leave the ki and cooldown alone and add wisbonusx2 to damage on a quivering palm if the mob doesn't die.
PS: im glad i dont need the shatter ring again with my monk (currently on TR doing paladin lifes).
only handwraps, not. Quarsterstaff and kamas need love too, and are not awesome weapons. Dance of Flowers should work only with the original monk weapons.
If you can stay centered in a not-monk weapon, fine, but these are not monk weapons. At best, shortswords. These are not amazing weapons and are ninja weapons in ddo. But that's it.

Amazing how many ppl still dont realize shiradi has been getting nerfed for months. Its easy for them to tinker with it and THEY DO. Check out how the "solo ee shiradi blah blah blah" youtube videos have dried up over the last 6 months. The only real cheese left is the unlimited sp thingy from fvs
And with focus augments stacking now, traditional casting is getting some love. Heck, you can find many ppl who far prefer draconic to shiradi already. Shiradi will soon be just a flavor option, if it isnt already.
Now monkchers....thats another story

I wouldn't say its fixed. The complaints of monk balance has been directed more towards splash builds and namely centered Kenseis and Monkchers. QP shouldn't be an ability that needs to fail several times in order to be useful. All this change did is give another reason its better to just splash than to take higher levels of monk.

Leave the DC alone. Raise thh cooldown to something more reasonable.

I don't consider Shiradi to be OTT at all at this time. Sure, the "unlimited" SP thing should be nerfed but that's really the only thing that's broken. The DC increase we have now means the more traditional caster archetypes are back to be viable if not optimal.
Seriously, I find the "lower mobs saves" argument to be laughable at this time. It's either being made by people who'd toons suck or simply want god-mode. Yes, saves were too high. We got massive DC inflation (the dumb way to fix it, but whatever). Lowering saves now would be silly.
