    Default The Goliath 10ftr/6monk/4pali

The idea for this build started way back with the enhancement changes last year. I was playing a Juggernaut 16arti/2monk/2pali and really loved it, but the enhancement changes really did not benefit it or nerf it at all. I really like playing monks and when I saw the enhancement line for fighters that allowed you to be centered with your weapon focus group the wheels started turning. I wanted to play a survivable THF build that would be centered and be able to self heal. This is the result of months of planning. This is in no way a finished product. I have gotten the build to Level 20 and am loving it. If you have any input/ideas/feedback, I welcome the advice! Thanks to all my guild members that have put up with hours of contemplation and discussion!

    The Basics:
Two Handed Fighting (great axe weapon focus group)
Centered in Master Earth Stance (For crit mutiplier and other goodies)
    Self Healing
Survivable (25% dodge, 25% incorporality, 50% concealment, 40ish prr without really trying)
MASSIVE crits Hence the name (Seeker, exceptional seeker, and buff Critical Multiplier any way possible)

    Cons:
Low SP from only 4 Pali Levels but Wisdom X Wizardry X will fix that. Also will have the Bauble and SS Ring
Not much Self Buffing: EE Goatskin Boots will take care of Haste and GS Displacement Clickies will take care of Concealment
Probably more that I am forgetting and am soon to come across.

    Pros:
x8 Critical on Greataxes (GA x3, Earth x1, Kensai x1, OC x1, Legendary Dreadnaught x2) Exalted Smite and Fists of Iron from enhancements also increase this for special attacks
Self Healing from Bladeforged line. Only 25 sp!
    Evasion
Good saves by adding in Divine Grace
Enough Feats to mix in all of the Ranged Feats for Many Shot MASSIVE burst damage.
    Divine Might for extra Strength!
    Many More here as well!

    The Breakdown:
    Abbigaal
Level 28 Lawful Good Bladeforged Female
    (10 Fighter / 4 Paladin / 6 Monk / 8 Epic)

    Default You posted it!

Nice write up! I am a guildie of the OP, and am currently working on a TWF version. My only additional comment is "survivability". Hopefully we can both get some videos posted sometime soon.

    Default Just Curious

Why 4 levels of paladin? Why not 2 levels for divine grace, then 2 more fighter levels for the extra feat (try to squeeze bow strength into heroic =D)? Could easily be missing something.

Also, what are your enhancements? I'm kinda curious how you set them up between the trees.

    Great questions!

    1. Two Levels of Paladin vs. Four: It is something I have gone back and forth on, but Divine Might is just too sweet to give up and you get that at level 4 Paladin when you get Turn Undead. You also have access to the tier 3 enhancement Exalted Smite which gives you x3 crit multiplier! Trust me, I really wanted 12 ftr for power surge but just couldn't squeeze it in with the 6 monk.

    2. There are many ways to level this toon. Almost all the feats taken can be taken as a fighter bonus feat so there is a good deal of flexibility there. With that being said, I took the bow stuff pretty late because the Massive Burst damage doesn't really kick in until epic levels when you are in Fury or LD.

    3. Enhancements:
Kensai: Most of my points went into the kensai tree so I could be centered. I spent 37 points there. Obviously I took all the pre-reqs for one with the weapon. Critical accuracy and damage were also key. And took Dodge 3%.

Ninja Spy: 11 Points. Just enough to get shadow fade (core 3 enhancement). Took more dodge from this tree as well.

Knight of the Chalice: Extra turns, Extra Smites, Divine Might, and Exalted Smite

Bladeforged: Spent the rest of my points here. I took 1 Con, 1 Toughness, 3 Reconstruct SLA and the rest into Improved Power Attack.
