Caster level bugged?

I just took level 28 on my PM, yet the combat log says he is casting spells at level 26. Logging in/out didn't fix it.

Is this a known bug? Or just a display issue? Or something else...

Epic levels don't really do anything. They sure don't give caster levels.

I'd guess your 26 is 20 from Wizard levels, 5 from your Epic Destiny, and 1 from an item (Lesser Arcane Augmentation somewhere?).

My lvl28 wiz casts most spells in the 30's, like your energy burst, not sure how it adds up but these links may shed some light:-
