    Default 3D sound effects (EAX)

Hello everyone,I'm again years later trying to get the EAX effects to work. I bought a Xonar Essence STX sound card and some nice headphones but still can't get the DirectSound 3D to work with its GX mode. I have used SB cards in the past and via Alchemy I was able to get the 3d sound working but then lost the voice chat. Anyway, my question is has anyone got the 3d sound to work with voice chat and if so what setup are you using. Also, I'm not sure what EAX version DDO uses. Can't find that info anywhere. Any idea? Thanks so much!

I just read that the gx effects are off with >96KHz content. I will try when I get home to set that below the 96 and see if that works.

Well that didn't wrok. Atleast soundblaster worked with Alchemy somewhat. Im going to return the soundcard and go with SB newest card and a sennheiser G4Me headset which looks like it would be a nice combo. PS. Only one posting but maybe the info would help another who plays ddo who actually cares about things like sound quality. I think most of the player base is happy with sound period.

OK so got creative newest card SBZxR installed and have sound working but still no EAX effects. Using Windows 7 64 bit. Tried both using the path and registry in Alchemy and still no go. It worked before in Vista. Registry I used was:[Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited]RegPath=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Tu rbine\DDO\InstallLocationPreset=Can any1 help? No one uses EAX? Also, should I maybe call turbine and get tech support or launch a ticket for online support? Thanks
