    Default Bear Form

I really like the bear form. It has many more and better animations than the wolf form.

I believe bear form is broken tho. The proof to that statement, is that you do not see any builds for bear form. So, how can we fix it?

Suggestions: These are just some of the ideas I have come up with. I do not think we need them all, but we do need something.

    1. Give each form it's own Enhancement tree.

    2. Give Bear form 1.5 to 2 times weapon damage (sort of like 2 handed weapons have). Wolf gets 30% attack speed, should bear get something for damage? I mean gee wiz it is a bear, you would think it would hit really hard. I know I do not want to be hit by a bear.

    3. actually make the bear form more Tank feeling.

Anyone else have any suggestions or good ideas on how to make Bear Form viable?

I actually use bear form, though I'm not a melee type. Pure druid with most of the AP split between both trees. Arcane spell failure is a non-issue, so I'm wearing medium white scale and using the shield Wall of Wood. With Fight and Barkskin in Dire Bear form I've got 69 AC and 43 PRR. With 20% conceal and 10% incorporeal to help out I've been able to play the tank role pretty well vs Spinner of Shadows.

I'd agree, though, that Bear and Wolf should have their own trees, or hell, make the capstone give us Owlbear form or something. Maybe Druids should get a 3rd tree.

The primary reason why bearform sucks so badly, is those "better animations" as you put them.

When attacking in bearform you begin by standing up, then swinging.

When attacking in wolf form, you attack immediately.

Enjoy your "better animations" in bear form, I'll stick with wolf form since the devs will never fix this.

The better animations that I am referring to are not the attack sequence. I do agree that those need to be fixed(those should be more like the wolf form ones). The better animations are Cleave/Great Cleave, stunning blow, Shred and others like that. In bear form those animations are different, unlike in wolf form where they are all some silly back flip kind of thing. Bear Form Cleave/Great Cleave makes me laugh, and have you seen the bear form search animation?

I have, though I've got to admit, I like the wolf backflips, more so than the bears ground slam.

I have a level 25 straight druid bear tank who works real well especially with fury or avatar epic destiny he doesn't do lots of damage but intims well and can absorb lots of damage so the other players don't get hit.

also have a lv 28 pure bear tank, have tanked all raid but have to have a very very patient group, it hits like a soft fuzzy kitten (especially if u are tanking in unyielding). did a test and even after 7 1000% hate hits the big damage toons could pull agro off. on my normal tank after 2 or 3 that's it, nothing short of death, will make it change targets.
I have mentioned this often (pet peeve) that the damage has to scale up for the animal forms (and there special melee attack should not be spells)
