Default How do you get a Purple Dragon Knight to the Marketplace?

I hate to ask this but I am stumped. I finally decided to try an Iconic Hero and created a Purple Dragon Night. After character creation I ended up in a tavern with a silly Gandalf clone named El Mister. After talking with El Mister I went looking for the Marketplace but found myself in a new city. Later, I ended up in yet another new city. Finally, I found a Hall of Heroes and went in there. I recalled reading about using it as a portal between realms. Unfortunately, the gateways are all broken or otherwise non-operational.

So, after creating a Purple Dragon Knight, how do I get her to the Marketplace to start questing?

When you are on the character selection screen there is an option to log into the Eberron hall of heros. That has a door into the Marketplace. All iconic characters can log directly to either world's hall of heros.

Ah! Thank you. I spent almost two hours looking for an in game route between worlds.

I was rather surprised to discover that Iconic Heroes can cross train into different classes. That really opens up possibilities for testing class and feat combinations. This game really does a good job of obscuring and hiding options available to new players.

The DDOWiki is a great resource. I am not sure how a new player could function without it. Unfortunately, sometimes, it is not clear what to search for. I actually searched for Hall of Heroes, Forgotten Realms, and a few other things trying to figure out the trick.

From the most to least complicated:

    • Log out to alt, buy stack of scrolls of teleport. Send them to iconic character. Log back in and teleport.
    • Invite a guildie or friend, go to any quest or challenge, and ask them to cast greater teleport on you.
    • Log out and select 'transfer to Eberron' on character selection.
    • Walk to eveningstar cavern and use demonweb portal to hop onto your airship.
