Ok, trying to figure this thing out. When you pick an Archmage enhancement spell i.e. magic missle. Is there a recast timer? I can spam cold ray but not magic missile. I don't know if that is because of magic missile or because the enhancement needs time to reset, also is this a free spell or am I spending spell points?
If I am casting a touch spell and have a staff in hand, does that work or do I have to unequip the staff?

The MM SLA has a 6 Sec Cooldown and costs 2 SP. If you apply Quicken the CD is reduced to 3 Sec. All Metamagics you apply to SLA's do not increase their SP cost.
You do not really touch an enemy when you cast touch-ranged spells, it's just that you have to be very close. If the spell is enlarged a bit less close.
