Caveat: most folks will tell you to go monk 6 / ftr 12 / <splash> 2 nowadays (or perhaps monk 6 / ftr 8 / <class> 6). The survivability benefits from monk 6 plus Master Earth stance far outweighs +15% doublestrike capstone, in their views. DPS is important, but so is not dying. Even if you're F2P, the ol' ftr 12 / rgr 6 / rog 2 combo still has a lot of life left, IMHO. Also, while khopeshes are still great for heroic leveling, they're overshadowed in epics by the CitW weapons.

But on the presumption you either don't have monk, are LRing an existing char, or just like sticking with pure builds, let's revisit a good ol' Kensei:

Stats: I presented her in "minimal tomes" mode: only needs +1 DEX tome for ITWF/GTWF pre-reqs. If you're trying to do this without any tomes, no worries, just put your first level-up into DEX instead of STR. And if you've got a bigger +DEX tome, you can start w/lower DEX for more CON or maybe INT if you want the extra skill pts. You may have to rearrange feats a bit if you can't take the TWF feats where I've placed them, however.

Feats: There are a lot of spare feats on a pure ftr once the core DPS feats are taken: i.e., TWF chain, Power Atk/CL/GC/IC:Slash/OC, and the Kensei pre-reqs. I used some of them to add Bow STR+Manyshot+IC:Ranged to give her a late-game ranged burst DPS option. I also took the Passage DM, largely as a convenience feature; in particular, some quests are easier / faster if you've got DDoor. Another option would've been to invest in a couple of tactics feats (e.g., Imp Sunder+Stunning Blow), in which case you should shift 6 APs into Kensei Tactics for +3 DCs.

BTW, most people will tell you - and I agree - that TWF builds are better off using 2H weapons for the first several levels; at least until you have ITWF, maybe until you have IC:Slash+GTWF depending on what 2H weapons you're using. So I front-loaded Cleave & GC on the presumption she'll be doing the same; this meant backloading the Kensei pre-reqs a little.

Enhancements: mostly DPS-focused, of course, but I also like the added survivability from Stalwart D. (+3 saves +25 PRR in stance), plus it lets me add another +1 STR enh. From the human tree I took a mix of DPS (dmg boost, +STR, Sniper), survivability (30% heal amp, Don't Count Me Out), and other perks like Passage DM line (DDoor, Teleport) and Gtr Heroism clickie.

Thank you so much! Since other builds are often thought of superior do you maybe have a build that a 32 point build human can pull off? That would be awesome. Maybe 12fgter/6monk/2paly Or something like that?

Ah, well, if you're just chasing after the latest Flavor of the Month, plenty of examples on the forums. Cetus is probably the de facto template; I also did a 28-pt elf version.

Returning player from two years ago here looking to make a pure TWF Fighter as well. So the best weapon for TWF would now be Nightmare? Which means I should go for Bastard Sword focus, yeah?

Not to hijack the thread, but I was hoping I could get some feedback from someone who is up to date. I'm building my 32pt Fighter with 14 Int because I want the skill points for Tumble, UMD and some other stuff, as well as CE and Improved Trip. In the process, compared to the build presented here, I'm basically losing 3 Str but gaining 1 CON for all the stuff I want above. That shouldn't matter much mid- to late-game, should it?

Since level-draining just got nerfed (reduced proc chance), I'd probably say go Balizarde and/or Celestia if FotW, Mornh (or maybe Axe of Adaxus) if LD. Unless you're making a rogue with Knife Spec, in which case I'd go for Agony.

Hm, so a pure Fighter that goes for Warhammer or Axe focus gets Pulverizer or Headman's Chop, but the final damage would still be significantly lower compared to focusing on Bastard Swords and it seems lower even if you were to focus on Rapiers or Short Swords. There are no other Feats to give me good damage besides spending them on exotic weapon mastery anyway, so Bastard Sword seems the way to go if I want great damage throughout the entire game. That way I do Kopesh-like damage all game and almost Balizarde-like damage once I get my hands on Nightmare. Seems like the best compromise, ne?
