You see this all the time in Path of Exile, where the partial respec item is a highly tradeable currency item. Think what DDO would be like if Siberys Dragonshards had their Fred use, but also could be traded to vendors for some of the better augments. PoE has a lot of people beg for Orbs of Regret, then ignoring anyone that /tells them alternative ways to get a respec.

If I made a build in this game and it was unplayably bad, I'd just PUG to 20 then TR them. Even a Sor8/Clr8/Bbn4 can do that.

I know that if he does another of those LFM's or the guild leader hears about him pestering people for hearts he'll likely be looking for a new guild though. What tolerance his guild leader has for that sort of thing has been used up in the first LFM and then some.

His guild has suggested things like piking to 20 and some gear/enhancement/feat changes he could make. I don't believe he has been on since those suggestions so I don't know which way things are leaning at the moment.

This is what my personal group does if someone screws up a build, The group takes them to 20 and helps them get up the tokens or whatever to tr. Since we've all multiple toons even with the cov change I don't see this as being a bad idea, that way the player gets the past life feat from his screw up and can start over fresh after figuring out what went wrong. And sometimes the toons aren't gimped at all at higher levels, just took a bit of time to develop. Six is an awfully low level to decide one is hopelessly gimped and begging for other players to give them a heart even if begging was normal behavior since those quests can be completed easily by anything.

Don't even get me started on begging behavior in general. *cranky turtle*

I have to say, I am impressed you maned up to it.

But you what I want to see more then some apology, what I would like to see is for you, once you sort your stuff out, give back to the community and help out the new players and even TR's that made mistakes and give them your stuff for free stuff, like you expected to be given.

When you do that, I'll believe the sincerity of this.

We all make mistakes, but how we deal with mistakes is possibly even more critical than avoiding a mistake in the first place. You got it right, by admitting the wrong and indicating you learned from it and will adjust future behavior. You have restored your dignity and get a fair shake in future dealings, at least from this turtle. Some people will forget that manning up and fixing a mistake matters and might continue to behave badly, but ignore them as long as you are sincere about your future intentions!

I once posted an LFM for an invite to a ship with a Tier 3 Altar based on some suggestions from others as our guild had not earned one yet. I got an invite easy enough, but also a very sternly worded warning by someone that i was spamming, violating policies etc... So while I think this is kind of apples and oranges I think also sometimes it's personal choice.

I am not really offended by this, but I can see why some would be. Personally I would say he should just get someone to run LoD or BoB over and over, depending on what he has to earn it himself. The fact that he wanted to get the heart without the work is the worst part for me.

I asked him why he doesnt use his free LR and he told me TRs dont get them, which I found confusing given I have always got them on all my toons.

i dont agree with what the person did with the lfm but i
would like to point out that ive done 2 tr's and havent
recieved them so not all ways the case.
