    Default Server Raids

I'm curious, what raids are being ran with the most frequency on our server? Which raids do ya'll suppose need to be ran more often and aren't receiving the attention they critically need? What raids should be ran less often to leave space for the more important ones? Thanks for the replies in advance!

Frequency from greatest to least (in my opinion):
VoN, FoT, Shroud, CitW, ADQ, Abbot, Chrono, LoB, Reaver, MA, VoD, ToD, HoX, Titan.
With a huge drop off in the number of groups for the ones listed after Chrono.

And as for which need to be ran more often, well... none really, except for fun. Maybe LoB & Abbot if I had to pick. Back when cap was 20 most were ran because they had relevant loot. Most people wanted ToD sets, Divines wanted Gloves from Reavers, eADQ had something for everyone.. eThornlord, eMarilith, Torc, etc.. Epic Chrono set was good for anyone too. Those wraps they added to HoX were nice for a time. These were like, best in slot items - Now they're not. I think most people feel like there's not much point trying to grind these items that they are going to wear for only a brief time. That, and the fact that many older players have what they needed from the old raids. And since the loot is not relevant new players overlook it. Even though I wasn't around, back when the cap was at various points below 20 I'm sure the best loot in the game came from the raids - ADQ at 12 cap, Reaver at 14. Greensteel at 16. Now raids have a few great items. Not all but Most of the best in slot gear is loot gen +10/11 ability items with like +10 resist, +50false life etc. or named EE items from post-MotU quests.

The problem with raiding is that fewer and fewer people need that raid gear. Most of it was intended for a level 20 capped toon. Now, level 20 just means you stop going to your regular trainer, and start going to the epic trainer. No big deal. Nothing we need special gear for. Very few old raid items can be considered mandatory for a level 28 toon now. And what is worse, random lootgen is often better than the old raid loot.

Ran the LoB raid last night with you (Alyssandra), it was great I last ran that raid 5 lives ago! I agree that most of the raid gear is no longer the best in the game, but for non-power gamers it is still pretty good. My 6 Shroud items (Q-staff, Repeater, Shuriken, Goggles, Boots, and Helm) and still pretty good in end game. The Abbott quiver is great, took 4 lives to get. The CitW and FoT CoHs are nice for boosting my Relic weapon, I just got flagged for those this life. I still have never been flagged for ToD.

Personally I would love to see more lfm for LoB, MA, CitW, FoT, ADQ (I will make an Epic Wolf Whistle-3 Druid Past Lives),ToD, VoD, HoX. We have just about enough VoN, Chrono, and Shrouds. Abbott and Reavers are just not that fun, Abbott takes a lot a skill which is hard to get from a pug and Reavers has a lot of down time.

First off, I'd like to say that I agree with all of you on the fact that the main reason we don't see many of the raids available to us is because of the relevancy of the loot offered by them these days. But at the same time, I don't believe that should deter us from making an effort to get involved in them! Let's be honest, a lot of us run raids simply for the fun of them and the change of pace from, as Gljosh pointed out, the more mainstream raids such as Vault of Night, Chrono, and Shroud that we see on a regular basis. True, you could also consider CitW and FoT as being main stream, but those haven't been run nearly as often as the other three due to the recent Raider's Box that everyone's obtained. The thing of it is, alot of people have been playing this game for years without even having attempted most of the raids in this game which may supplement their beliefs in a lack of diversity, which I believe at least secretly everyone wants more of.

And even with the (quite obviously) lack of very high level named/raid loot available, I wouldn't say that the loot gained from all of the different raids aren't out of the running. I mean, just look at Alchemical crafting for example. Yeah sure, it takes quite a bit of effort, but the end result for any sort of weapon is fairly solid, even up into the high twenties! I also believe that raids such as Hound of Xoriat, Vision of Destruction, and Zawabi's Revenge, though not the greatest in terms of optimal loot at those levels, still offer a fairly good assortment of goodies that go along with just how much dang fun they really are. So, what I propose should happen is that we allow there to be diversity by facilitating it's allocation on our server! I'd also like to coordinate this with our server's forum to have a greater interactivity with the players on it. For now, we've started an individual channel in which anyone can communicate at any time, in which you can participate in by typing "joinchannel /Raid" without the quotation marks inside of your chat box in-game, then type /raid before saying anything you like to the group. I'm hoping that this could be a focal point for raids that aren't ran on a usual basis, and in which people could search for members who would like to join outside of putting an LFM up.

Is this a good idea? Could this be something that we could make work? And is the emphasis on diversity really something that's worth the time and effort in? Would appreciate any further replies on the matter, thanks!

There is a channel called titan, where we run abbott quite the bit, also, we used to, yes, used to, run titan, hence the name, until the lardbutt warforged started springing up from the floor.
    /joinchannel titan

also, you can make new chat tabs, and set outgoing/incoming chat, i.e, uc1, uc2, etc

I cannot for the life of me remember the schedule, but we run abbott twice a week, tues at 8pm est, and sats i dont know when.
We also run the sub raids, HoX, and VoD, but I don't remember when as I've said already.

just join the channel and ask

Hey Mahalko! Guerric/Carrianne here. I'd disagree with the ranking of raids done on the server for the reason others have pointed out, namely, the Titan channel, The Titan raid itself is currently on hiatus until they fix the bug (which they've at least added to known issues now), but generally the schedule is as follows-

Monday- HoXand VoD starting at 8pm EST.
Tues- Titan and then 4 successive Abbott raids starting at 8pm EST
Sat- Titan Flagging runs at 2pm followed by Titan and 4 successive Abbott runs starting at 8pm EST

All can join the channel, and Item from Epic Fail, who hosts the runs, is a great leader and very new player friendy. As such, I'd put these raids as some of the most commonly run on the server. I'm glad you are now running regular LoB/MA as I would have put these as least commonly run before. I'll join your channel and run whenever I can. Currently I work on most Sat nights, but Wednesday is usually open. Not certain if you;re running this coming week as its Christmas day, but if you are I'll most likely be there. As for the least run raids, I'd put CiTW since the free item gifting, as well as Reaver's Fate and Demon Queen. I am not aware as of yet of any regular time in the week when these raids are run, so I can't count on getting reliable completions when I might want them, though I've considered hosting regular runs myself in the future.

Thanks for doing this, and see you in game!
