Epic Loot Caps

The possible short of it (as of update 22) is:
Loot caps at level 30 without a jewel of fortune (despite chest blessing).
Loot caps at level 31 with a +1 jewel of fortune or +1 guild buff?
Loot caps at level 32 with a +2 jewel of fortune (or +1 jewel with +1 guild buff).
Loot caps at level 33 with a +2 jewel and +1 guild buff?
I'm pretty sure the treasure map does not increase the max loot level from past experience.

Loot appears to cap at 5 levels above the character level regardless (max level 33 loot on a level 28 character)

This is my (incomplete) loot data that I've collected (the level of the chest and the corresponding plat or gold that you get):
22 259-279 plat or 2220-2380 gold

Thanks for this. It explains why my loot gem was a complete waste last night (Thanks for nothing Turbine)...

I was piking my wife's bard through some storm horns slayer last night explicitly for loot while she was at a class. My monk is on a ER cycle and is currently 23, while her bard is 27 holding 28.

I couldn't figure out how she was getting better loot than I was when I had a +2 lot gem working. This explains it as well as why I was getting the same loot levels in the High Road.

And Devs, this needs to change!

I updated the original post since I am now getting level 32 loot (prior cap of 31) in Thunderholme (29) with the loot boost of +1 and a +2 jewel of fortune.

I no longer have a chest blesser to test the non jewel of fortune cap being different than the jewel of fortune cap (you should currently be able to get level 31 loot in Thunderholme with a chest blesser but previously you could only get to 30 without a jewel of fortune).

Can anyone take a level 28 chest blesser into Thunderholme and check your gold/plat rolls with and without a jewel of fortune running?

i`m not sure either about the opposite, but i`ll give an example of what had happened to me (iirc)

friends in low places ee (CR28), on a +2loot weekend
running it on a lvl25 toon w/o jewel -> got a lvl24 augment
running it on another lvl25 toon w/ +1 jewel -> got a lvl28 augment

Is it just me or does level 32 loot give less level 28 min level items than level 29 loot?

Ok, testing with the +2 loot bonus going on now.

Level 29 chest +2 jewel +2 bonus = level 32 loot on a level 27 character (capped at 5 levels above character level)
Level 29 chest + 2 bonus + 1 chest bless = level 30 loot (loot still appears to cap at level 30 when not using a jewel of fortune)

I was excited to get my chest blesser to level 28 only to be disappointed....

Level 21 chest +2 bonus +1 jewel = level 24 loot (as expected)
Level 21 chest +2 bonus +1 jewel +1 chest bless = level 25 loot (as expected)
Level 29 chest +2 bonus +1 jewel = level 31 loot (instead of 32, capped by only using +1 jewel)
Level 29 chest +2 bonus +1 jewel +1 chest bless = level 31 loot (instead of 33, capped by only using +1 jewel)

So I'm not sure that a level 33 loot table exists for level 28 characters. Someone could try running one of the level 30 raids on EE with a +2 jewel on a level 28 character and see how much plat is in the chest?

By the way I'm pretty sure the wondrous craft items are static drops. So level 32 chests don't help you get them (you need to run EE wheloon or storm horns). My previous targeting of level 31 and 32 chests has been a waste of time.

Looking back at this perhaps it is cha level + 5 up to 30 then the jewel of fortune is added?

So with a level 24 character:
28 chest + 2 boost = 29 loot
28 chest + 2 boost + 1 jewel = 29 loot

So I think the loot cap must be based on difficulty.

Level 28 toon running Haunted Halls EE (level 30) with a +2 jewel & a chest blesser yields the plat amounts you have listed for a level 33 chest.

Level 28 toon running Haunted Halls EE (level 30) with a +2 jewel, chest blesser, & use of Pirate's Treasure Map also yields the plat amount listed for a level 33 chest.

Now to wait for a loot bonus weekend..

Ok, so it does seem that the level cap for chests is currently 33:

Level 28 toon HH EH (29), +2 jewel, +1 ship = 32 = level 32 gold amount
Level 28 toon HH EH (29), +2 jewel, +1 ship, +1 bless = 33 = level 33 gold amount

Level 28 toon HH EE (30), +2 jewel, +1 ship = 33 = level 33 gold amount
Level 28 toon HH EE 30), +2 jewel, +1 ship, +1 bless = 34 = level 33 gold amount
Level 28 toon HH EE (30), +2 jewel, +1 ship, +1 bless, +1 map = 35 = level 33 gold amount

This is very interesting. I've never been able to get an EH quest above level 32 with a jewel.

What does HH EN cap at without a jewel?

Ok I ran a level 26 quest on EE with the +2 loot bonus on a level 21 character and I got level 26 loot.

So the character level +5 is not effected by EE at all.
