*spoiler alert!*
Today i had the change to play the new quest "brothers in the forge".
the quest handled coming home after a long conflict, seeing that house in ruins, finding your brothers dead all around the place.
It ended with a confrontation with the last brother Gorin, driven mad by the horrors he witnessed and was forced to partake in.
The writers have him serve in Thrane, a smart move, this means that after being forced to do atrocities he was most likely blamed for it and put to work on the restoration of the country, scrutinized for what he is, his race, his role in life, slowly driving him further into insanity.
(for those who are unfamiliar with the lore: Although Warforged were considered sentient and free people by the Thronehold accords, Thrane made them work in the restoration of the country, a legal, in their opinion, form of slavery)
This quest pays tribute to all who went through something similar.
So here's my respects to the writers, who were brave and able enough to handle this subject with such respect,
Here's my respects to those people in real life too, military, firefighters, police, first aid personnel. (and everybody that fits the description but was forgotten after the second bottle of whisky tonight)
Here's my respect to good friends we lost while performing those hazardous tasks or the mental scares doing them in later.
My only hope is that turbine gives us follow up quests to this one.
An opportunity to make Thrane pay for what they did, a chance to get through to the lord of the blades, is he really Bulwark? Can we get him to rebuild the Morhnlands and get it recognized in a new throne accord?
A chance to show we have grown out of nastier tendencies?
