Why isn't there some sort of DDO Dating website, like OkCupid or some such? I think it'd be a big hit. I'm randomly running into people that play in Colorado, why not work up something like Gaming Dating? Just wanted to see what people thought of this. Maybe some programmer out there knows how to pull it off...

For the record I think I asked once and I don't live too far from Steiner, and there are 10 or so people living within driving distance of me, but I've never had the urge to actually meet them... that seems counterproductive. How can you be all elitist when you can actually PICTURE the party you're trying to offend?

Full disclosure: My husband and I have met people IRL who we initially met on-line in text-based role-playing games we were into at the time.

But still, the idea of doing so intentially for dating purposes or scoping people out who I met online for dating purposes is more than a little creepy to me.

I have no issue with that at all.

Hell, in EVE I play a 'plain looking' female character precisely because I know that guys underestimate unattractive women. What better way to fly under the radar than to play a female character that doesn't stand out? (Or at least, doesn't stand out until they rob your corporation blind, offline your POS, and blow up every ship at your mining operation)?

In DDO, my secondary and tertiary characters are both female and my main character is male.
