    Default Dex-based TWF Warpriest/Kensei/Ninja

Ever since going through a cleric/fighter life for a past-life, I've been intrigued by the notion of the melee-capable divine. This build is a work in process, still being tweaked, but has proven to be fun to play and effective in epic elite. It's a dex-based 9/8/3 cleric/fighter/monk class split playing off the synergies between the kensei, ninja spy and warpriest enhancements +FotW destiny.

    The goals of the build:

easy access to "quality of life" divine buffs
high survivability in the forms of saves and damage mitigation
    self-sufficiency
    solid melee capability, centered TWF

    What this build is not:

    a group or raid-capable healer

    Other notes:

    1) This is an active build. DPS comes through copious use of Fists of Iron, Human Damage boost, Haste boost, Shattering Strike, Inflame, Smite Foe, and Adrenaline. Cleave and Great Cleave provide aoe for groups of mobs. I'd originally twisted Momentum Swing and Lay Waste, but found that it was too much for me to juggle.

    2) Self healing. I'd originally considered a favored soul variant (for more spell points) as well as a variant focused on radiant servant instead of warpriest. The favored soul variant loses too many convenient spell slots for my taste. The radiant servant variant was kinda meh, with bursts interrupting the flow of combat too much for my liking. Self healing in this build comes primarily from the use of ameliorating strike and cocoon with cure critical being used only when swamped.

    3) Extend is the one feat which might be replaced and still have the build work. It's just extremely convenient to have extended death ward, freedom, divine favor and divine power.

So I'm very intrigued by your post-- I recently have gotten back into DDO after a long layoff, and am working on a new main, and i am considering a very similar build. i only have experience up until level ~13 or so, so I'm encouraged by you saying it's effective in epic/elite.

the build idea I am toying with is a dex based half/elf ranger 11 / druid 9 (tempest/natures warrior lines). my goals for the build are to be a very good melee focussed build that has good self healing and some ranged variety through crossbows (articifer dillette) and lightning spells (call lightning storm via half-elf, and druid spells).

so, I was encouraged by your 11 melee levels and 9 priest levels. i have a few questions/concerns regarding the build however. is caster level 9 and level 5 spells going to be totally gimp endgame? (will self healing be enough? will my call lightnings and lightning storms do enough damage to be worth it? i plan on stacking +elec spell power gear and enhancements to buff my spellpower / penetration)? and how much wiggle room is there with feats (would you consider cleave/gt cleave and dodge must haves?).

i've never really considered taking caster levels unless i was gonna take em to 17-18, but i want a melee focussed character and it *seems* like 9 levels of druid (or cleric) could be enough to make it workth it
