Mouse cursor switching to desktop issue

Hello all.

I have a mouse issue that appeared last night and Im hoping someone may be able to help me out/ offer me some advice on please.


When Im logged into the game every minute or so my mouse game cursor switches to the desktop cursor resulting in me being able to do nothing in game until I open up task manager and click on DDO.

It occurs whether Im running around clicking the mouse buttons or doing nothing.

Its like theres been an event on the desktop requireing my attention (like a java update etc)but when I switch to the desktop there isnt any pop up or anything requireing me to do anything

It was fine the last time I logged on (yesterday or the day before) and as far as I am aware no changes have been made to the PC.


If anyone can offer any advice it would be most appreciated.

my game has done this for years but today its so bad I cant play I used to just alt tab and the game would be active now I cant get that to work anyone else have this problem and if so how did you fix it
