    Default Bladeforged Eldritch Knight Sorcerer/Paladin

I was thinking, given the Bladeforged's helpful switch from -Cha to -Dex, that perhaps a Bladeforged Sorcerer-Paladin might work (at least, ridiculously good saves plus a Reconstruct SLA seems nice). Given I would be multiclassing a melee anyway (barring LR+1 shenanigans), perhaps this might be a home for Eldritch Knight.

Sadly it's a choice between toggle-Tensers and Eldritch Tempest versus wings. Fond as I am of wings, I probably come down on the side of the EK tier 5s. There's still room to go up to core 5 in Air and get knockdown immunity if I feel that way inclined. (I think immunity to petrification is pretty minor and immunity to paralysis is pointless for bladeforged, but I do like knockdown immunity).

Is an 18/2 split the way to go? It gives me level 9 spells on the Sorc side, and Lay on Hands/Divine Grace on the Paladin side, but there's always the option of taking Paladin up to 6 and pursuing Sacred Defender, or bringing a third class into the mix.

With all the ASF reduction in Bladeforged and EK, I think I could even grab Adamantine Body with 0% ASF - is that worth it after the AC changes? I wasn't around for those, but I have a vague idea that Adamantine Body now scales with level?

I used my lr +20 heart on my bladforged and became pure wizard EK with an adamantine body. I can assure you that it has 0 ASF thanks to the enhancements.

I believe the sweet spot for EK will be 6 levels of wizard. This is enough to get you the most important core EK enhancement, extended haste and displace and the tenser's toggle if you want it. Unfortunately, 18 sorc gets you almost nothing that synergizes with EK, and getting knockdown immunity and/or wings is extremely expensive AP-wise having to invest in a ton of enhancements that are extremely weak.

This depends on how you intend to use it. If you are going for a hybird melee/caster playstyle then it can work well. If you are trying to make a melee with wizard buffs then 6 wizard is better. Six wizard is not just better automatically.

There's no synergy for hybrid sorcs. Without shiradi or at least draconic, your spells will be extremely inefficient. With shiradi/draconic, your melee will be too weak to be worth using.
