Instant crash to desktop

As soon as i select my toon it goes to to load screen for a second or two then crash to desktop, totally new thing as nothing on my computer has been changed at all.

Give this a try:

1. Load the Launcher and wait for it to do it's thing.
2. Click on the down arrow button in the upper right corner next to the minimize button.
3. Select "Options ..." from the drop-down list.
4. Select the "Repair" tab.
5. Check the "Reset the game display settings" checkbox.
6. Press the "OK" button.

This will force a game update and display settings reset to ensure you don't have corrupted files or a weird video mode.

Well that did get me into the game, but instantly "connection with the chat server has been lost" lol but i was in the world,

but sadly now it says all the worlds are closed

will mess with it more at lunch i guess

not sure if its related my problem started a day or so ago hopefully this fixes it when they are done


Edit:: the connectivity issue did not change my instant crash to desktop, I dont understand what could change in 2 years of no problems then this, going to redownload and see if that does it

I just started having the same problem. I get stuck on load screens when trying to enter a quest, a few minutes goes by then dumped to desktop....

Edit: I guess my problem is a little different as I can get into public areas.

My crashes occur mostly going into explorer areas (the main culprit is King's Forest). Very frustrating especially when I'm on a guild run. Going to try the refresh option and see if that works.
