How about it?
Make the Captain a hook point that can be changed.
I am tired of looking at the same Captain year after year. How about a Kobold or a Troll, A different NPC Driving my Ship would be a neat addition to the quality of life.

Not sure who this is, but if it changes the NPC Captain to something else rather than the automatic Captain we already get, then ok.

It wouldn't take much to add this as a hookpoint. It would also ad immersion. The more the Game becomes a fun time, the more money is spent and the more money spent equals more time put into fixing bugs. Originally Posted by Zibowskij

If there was an alternate ship captain you could buy like a ship buff or even if you could buy a permanent one from the ddo store that would be cool. Imagine a mindflayer pirate captain, a githyanki captain, or a ghost captain. That would be cool. Originally Posted by zDragonz

A gelatinous cube captain would be worth the cost. I believe his name should be Captain Cube. I'd also settle for a beholder, kobold or pirate themed hobgoblin.

Or maybe the guild name on a plaque on some prominent part of the ship.
Or allow the guild leader to customize the banners flying on the ship.
Different options for first mate, too.
Small quality of life things, yes.
