Default Any suggestions on good CO-OP/Multiplayer RPG Games?

Pretty much the title...My gamer girl and I love experiences RPGs together even if we just takes turns playing but we discovered the greatness that is the Tales series (we've already played through Symphonia, Abyss and Vesperia) and now were addicted to CO-OP RPGs and hoping more exist so I figured I ask at a few of my favorite forums.

So yeah we literally JUST finished Vesperia so were looking for another one, now we really prefer a standard RPG as opposed to something like Diablo but feel free to suggest anything also We'd prefer games on NES, SNES, PS1, PS2, XBOX, XBOX 360, Wii or Gamecube since I own all those systems but if there's an awesome enough game I might hunt down the relevant system (including PS3 since PS4s release will likely lower its price).

So far I'm looking into Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Diablo 3 (Xbox360), Borderlands 2 (she might not like this one), and hopefully I can find the other tales games (would appreciate a list actually)but I'm sure theres WAY more than that so please lay your suggestions on me...vague, obscure, limited release I don't care as long as you think it would be fun.

So yeah go nuts suggest away

i believe that a few games in the Fable series (Xbox360) have a co-op mode

also, since you mention the PS1: while not a co-op game, Legend of Legaia is an awesome game from the jRPG hayday that escaped alot of ppls notice because it came out at the same time as FF7.
its one of my favorite RPG titles of all time

Oh I loved LoL (the original LoL long before this MOBA nonsense :P) they made a sequel if you didn't know..its not bad I am specifically looking for CO-OP RPGs right now though.

As for the fable games the "co-op" mode is kind of **** because theres no way to save the "henchman" your just a generic dude or dudette that follows the main character around its far less fun for the 2nd player.

No worries, good to see another Canadian roaming around here...it's quite rare you'd almost think we didn't have the net or something despite being the 2nd largest country in the world.

    Default My Two Choices

A couple good forgotten games to try,

    A Bard's Tale
    Legend of Dragoon

    for the playstation

There are many other great games but these two are nice fun games for a change of pace from a number of years back.

    somehow i missed this.......

while this is def true of Fable 2, I'm fairly certain in 3 you can play your own character as the 2nd player
