Default Remove XP repetition negatives on quests.

Remove XP repetition negatives on quests.
Why force players to play the way you want them to play?
If I want to run a certain quest I enjoy for the XP, let me do it !

If the way you play involves Kobolds New Ringleader from 1 to 7, then VoN 3 from 7 to 13, then Litany of the Dead to 20 then your idea is fantastic.

I pray you are never in charge of any sort of game balancing system. Even Turbine does a better job than this obvious troll attempt.

To me, the term "game balancing" has to do with difficulty and challenge.
There is nothing either difficult or challenging about running other quests for XP other than the ones that give higher XP. The only difference is in the time wasted.

So your reply makes no sense.

This is not a "game balancing" issue. It is a time wasted issue by having to run poor XP/minute quests to level up after reincarnating.

By removing penalties it would be exactly like Redspecter says. Not at all good for the game.

You are the one choosing not to play alts.

Casual player now investing way less than I used to into the game, playing 1-3 months at a time and still want nothing to do with Reaper. #improvepuggrouping#alldifficultiesmatter

I'm happy with the new way of doing it - removing the penalty to allow for daily runs w/o penalty. I think that removing the penalty outright would be a bad move.

I agree with this. I like the new way. The penalty goes away, but you have to wait a little while for that.

I wouldn't curl up in the corner to cry if repeat penalties went away entirely, but I don't see a need for the change requested in the OP - repeat penalties are already removed, so I'm happy now.

    -80% pen in a quest.

    +20% XP pot.
    +20% Greater Tome of Learning.
    +5% Voice/Mantle
    +5% Ship XP Buff.

Equals to -30% Pen. You can farm your high xp quests with 30% pen. So the idea of completely removing repetition penalty would be silly.

Hey, while we're at it, why the heck do we even NEED more than one quest??? Just give me Return to Delera's tomb minus the flaggers, and make it worth 3 mil xp. Now THAT'S saving time!

Don't forget the possible +10% VIP, and that you can get 50% pots, so potentially farming the high xp quests with no penalty at all, or at best a +10% boost if you're VIP.
Oh yes, and you can burn through all the GH elite quests fairly easily solo, skipping Crucible (love the quest, hard to solo though) if you're VIP, and get an EXTRA 45k or so xp per complete saga run that is also boosted by all the above xp buffs w/o penalty.

If any lower level sagas ever get added, the same idea will apply there as well. Liberate Korthos Saga, anyone? :P

I think the new system is even better than the old one, especially for folks that play a bit slower. They can come back the next day and re-run a certain quests and the penalty has gone down by 50%. With the old system it would never bounce back to 0% penalty. Now run Litany to -60%, come back next day and do a few more runs starting at -10%. Not bad.

Doesn't really suit my play style as I blaze / zerg thru quests as fast as I can, but hey .... I still get to cap as fast as I did before the change :-) Just needed to make a couple of adjustments along the way .. lol
