Default Anyone use PDK for a caster druid yet?

I want the PDK past live and still also want a druid past life and was thinking of doing them at the same time. I'd like to do a caster build since I have not played a caster in a while.

From reading so far, it looks like max/emp'd SLAs for damage and Evocation for CC is the way to go.

I assume max wisdom and constitution and the rest in... str? int for skill points?

Max out heal and spell craft skills. Concentration or UMD next?

Stuck with a class feat at creation (that is a fighter feat by default) so that would be a good place for toughness I guess... or?

    thoughts?

Oh... if I LR out of the mandatory first level of fighter, that feat goes away, doesn't it?

Yeah, for a Caster there's not much else you can choose that will give you any benefit at all.

One thing to be aware of - PDKs do not get any WIS boost items out of the box, so you'll want to find a +6 as soon as you can. Cloak isn't a bad place to put it in my experience.

I've been levelling up a PDK Caster Cleric and it's working pretty well - I kept the Fighter level simply to get Greatsword proficiency, which combined with the PDK Charisma boost to Attack/Damage gives some melee options.

Caster Druid is a lot of fun. You Should have little to no issues doing that on a PDK. I would recommend LRing out of the Fighter level but that is personal preference. My Main was a Drunk caster build 18/2 and it was probably the most fun I have had in the game thus far. I will be TRing back into a Drunk once I play through this Bard craze I have right now....

PDK is a human but I haven't tried LRing a Iconic yet. results unknown but huge potential.

My original plan was to do a caster druid and then do a wolf melee druid after, but maybe I should do the melee first and take advantage of TWF while its in the game.

    1. Do the drunk wolf builds use TWF line?
    2. Are they handwrap / kama only builds?
    3. Can you get dex to damage? Or wisdom to damage?
    4. How does the monk die step progression affect the wolf stance?

In general, would this be a fun build for a PDK going 15-28 and then doing a TR? I'm thinking that the fighter level on a wolf build is not such a bad thing... 1fighter/2monk/17 druid??? Or is a deeper splash better?

    thanks!!!

    1) Not for long- believe we've had dev confirmation that this is not WAI
    2) wolves can use handwraps, kamas, staves, and shortswords all pretty much equally
    3) No to wis-damage, not sure on dex. depends on coding
    4) You use whichever is higher. your monk die OR your base animal form die.

Wouldn't using a Kama or Shortsword eliminate all their Druid abilities?
