You don't make bacon, you make dragon cheese steak sandwhichiess!

And if you can, Jerry, see if you can't find and old 2.0 Dragonomicon to see what you'd have to do to prepare the meat. I don't think the 3.x ever went into those details. (I forget). Seriously, I'd you want to choose which "color" dragon to use carefully. Copper or Brass would probably be your better bets. White may work, just have to really season it. Don't even bother with black.
