I don't need to see an update every day. once in awhile would be great. communicating now and than like they have been with posts correcting bad info being passed around, agreeing with some ideas that we post and an occasional joke or being sarcastic along side of us, etc goes a long ways. tomorrow is the update and the forums will be lit up with doom and praises so its gonna be busy day for them.

How about instead of screwing around with augments which, while utilitarian, are really boring, or messing with the ever-more boring loot pre/suffixes, you crack open a Dungeon Master's Guide or DMG 2, or one of the other countless books from the history of D&D with magic items in them and start incorporating the boatload of magic items that are available.

That's a much better idea than another boring augment or weapon prefix.

I don't think the rare prefixes mentioned in the first post will add much variety. They are all damage effects.

Variety would be to have weapons that do different stuff. Greensteel is a good example: There are big damage effects, damage over time effects, crowd control, instakills, level drain, debuffs, a pet slime...

I think most bards will hate these new AOE augments

They will make hypno-like crowd control effects totally useless.

And for most rogues or other classes which do not like to aggro the whole battlefield mobs, AOE effects from weapons will often cause disasters.

And how about some creativity in item types? I'm in full agreement that the ghostbane/riposte/rapid strikes unholy trinity has to go - or at least be massively reduced in frequency - and more useful and interesting weapon affixes added, but a lot of the fun from D&D loot had nothing to do with more powerful weapons or bigger stats, as such. The trouble with that is the fact that it's very hard to slot everything you need to already, so who's going to give space to a fun/flavour item? Time for some "slotless slot" type items, perhaps? I'm thinkning item slots that can only contain things that don't give +whatever bonuses, but perform some other function...

Thinking aloud here, I'd love a Quiver of Ehlonna-type item, for instance. Exclusive item, will only hold weapons (maybe 10?) which no longer take up standard inventory space, Quick Draw feat applied whenever a weapon is swapped with one from the container. I'd do some serious questing for that. What about a Potion Jug that you can store different potions in and use them from? Or a Scroll Case (likewise). Or what about in-game-acquirable cosmetic items that have real effects? Yes please. Not +1-to-UMD type things, but Cannith-Boots-jump type things, or Shard of Xoriat (i.e. actually useful) summoning type things, or a once-per-rest illusory double item that goes off automatically at <30% hit points (or on click), or a Hat of Disguise that reduces your threat by 100% and makes you appear as a random nearby monster type for one minute, or...

    You know, cool stuff.

Of course, what I really want is a flying carpet, but I thought I'd stick with the merely improbable.

    Hasn't happened yet.

and its not gonna happen either... oh well I guess a half a point is granted for some kind of old college try.... though considering the whole reason this post exists.... that doesn't come anywhere close to beginning to dig out of the MAAAAAASIVE holy they've dug on this front alone.
Interesting, I took the dates listed in the OP to mean that Feather would be filling-in what was added/worked-on each of those days...meaning that it wouldn't necessarily be updated every day, but filled-in at some point during the week, detailing the work each day.

But, who knows? It is also entirely possible that Feather's overlord put a cease and desist on the idea. It wouldn't be the first time a Dev went out of their way to communicate in a manner such as this, to only have the rug pulled-out from under them.

I need to see an update every single day! I want to make sure that FoS is still alive and working in the dungeon they've chained him in.

Great to see something like this FoS, now get everyone else to do the same thing. Yes, it take time (maybe 15-20 min?) but it's value is worth many, many times the value of the code you would get done in that 15 to 20 minutes.

This all sounds really cool. Sorry for all the bad things I said and insinuated against you FoS!

What over devs were there where this happened to them?
    Genuinely curious.

MajMal I believe? I'm not sure the devs pulled the rug.

I assume he just couldn't be bothered (much like FoS)?

This. Also what Sirgrog said about putting healing amp back in the random loot table. Even if you do NOTHING else besides put healing amp back as something you can get outside of named loot (and dear god, please make it a YELLOW augment), U21 will be a complete success.

In case I was unclear about anything:

Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Healing Amplification! Please bring healing amp into the game in a useful format so that the old items we have in our banks aren't worth more than any named loot you've released in the past 4 updates.

I'm not sure this can be related to what you're working on, but I'd like to say this really. I believe we should have a nice way to get sigils and shards at epic crafting. So I thought new way to get them.

First, sigils and shards are supposed to be aquired at only chests from certain dungeon. plus getting them only depends on our luck seriously, even if scrolls are tradable. so I thought We might have a good way to get them. there below is what I thought.?*

Epic Raid: Devil Assualt(Chronoscope), Menechtarun(Demon Queen), Vault of Night
Every 20th epic completion, There's some chance to show you sigils and shards at end reward.

Their 20th completion at epic is somewhat meaningless. That gives heroic items still. If they give us shards and sigils at 20th run completion, It'll be nice.

Demon Queen might have greatly many slots to show them at 20th reward because there's 74 items at Menechtarun adventure, while Devil Assault and Vault of Night might have less chance than Demon Queen because their epic items from their adventure are not much a lot of than it, but This dose not mean they have low chance to show them, achieving 20th completion should be rewarded.

(*I'd like to know whether Vault of Night epic 20th completion has a chance to show Epic Red Dragon Helm if devs took my suggestion.)

Epic Adventure: Phirlan Carnival, Sentinels of Stormreach, Web of Chaos, Red fen
When you take reward at chain quest completion, There's less chance to show you sigils and shards at end reward.

They have no raids, but can be set made as the quest chain reward which from we can get sigils and shards. only carnival and sentinels have quest chain, but You put quest chains on them - Red Fen and Web of Chaos -. When we complete quest chain, we can have low chance to see sigils and shards, because completing for them is really easier than 20th completion.

Epic Crafting is somewhat designed for hard players and depending on their luck, but making a new way like this would make users unburdened.

I've been finding them, still, in Vale completions (when helping friends who missed flagging). But the higher level stuff, yeah, haven't seen them drop much.

Yes, absolutely. AOEs are great for soloing, when you're not pulling stuff one by one, but not super good if you're trying to pull off certain kinds of tactics. I have been happy with the AOE procs on weapons sometimes, and totally dislike them at other times.

Indeed, just want to see some comment from FOS just to be sure that they didn't spank him for engaging one of the best tries to communicate to the playerbase in a long time!
