Default Exploiters make national TV News

Look here those dirty exploiters have made the news

    http://abcnews.go.com/Business/walma...ry?id=20804317

Can you believe this, they should be banned forever. Twice forever I mean they got these items for cheap and can now use their stocks to charge good players more for these items.

Wait, they can demand giving purchased items back, or did I misunterstood something?

If yes, America is officially lawless country ;p

    Default Really

I blame wal-mart for this obviously if they didn't make the exploit available no one would of participated in it.

    Or

I blame the consumer they knew it was too good to be true and exploited poor innocent wal-mart.

    Bowserkoopa,

Who is at fault here really...I blame Mario.

Here is the difference between a good person and a bad person: You go to a business and buy something with cash. The cashier gives you too much money for your change. A good person gives the extra money back.

It's really very simple: there are people who recognize when something is too good to be true and must be an error, and there are people who just want to take advantage of those errors. I know which I want to be and which I want to interact with. People who like to take advantage of mistakes will someday take advantage of you as well.

Imo, there's some difference between taking advantage of the mistake of a big multi-national corporation, and taking advantage of the mistake of your poor old neighbour...

Lies im really a bad evil person.......in fact your examples are false im evil..........i remember recently buying a jersey at a store via eftpos and the guy forgot to put a 0 after my purchase so $6 instead of $60, i pointed it out to him and he was a bit taken aback. Stealing is not something I really do, but ive never been tested enough I guess............steal or starve I think if it came down to it that far I would steal. And im no angel take a game of rugby for instance one guy had seemed to mark my neck out for his personal pole to swing around on no matter where the ball was on the other side of the field several times during the entire game. So I had enough and choked him out in a maul where no one could see, and even he didn't remember what happened afterwards, they all thought he fainted.

Good person and bad person? meh maybe good thing and bad thing to do.

And some people might even have been that stupid/clueless at first with some of the prices, I mean the ones with 70% or so off, thinking that it was some sort of sale or that was the actual price, but im sure they are in the minority.

waiting for the posts insisting they be all arrested though lol.

I love these quotes from the walmart story....

You wanted to rip them off because of an error. How noble of you.
My thoughts exactly. No honor among thieves.
That is not a rip off. WALMART HAS RIPPED OFF THEIR WORKERS FOR YEARS. If you see a sale ad and run to the store to buy it and they take your money but then don't let you leave with it because the ad was a mistake then don't start crying "youreallythinkso" since you think the buyers was ripping poor little Walmart off!
It's Turbine's, I mean Walmart's fault! They deserve to be stolen from!

Same rationale as the exploiters in this game... So sad. This country is full of people with no common sense, and no personal integrity.

It is like going to a museum and bragging about how fast you made it through. Or bragging about how fast you finished a good steak.

Exactly... I did this just the other day. It amazes me that other people will just pocket that money, effectively stealing from the cashier (a lot of businesses will make the cashier make up the difference). "It's the cashier's fault! They deserve to be stolen from!"

Who are the food stamp people?

Technically though the people who took advantage of the mistake can they be held accountable? Im asking legally here not morally.

There was a case here where a bank gave a guy a massive overdraft by accident well over a million and he transferred it and bailed the country but has been caught, it was an overdraft so the money of course was never his.......but I wonder if the same principle can be applied to making an error with pricing of goods and people then buying those goods at the prices you put up there due to your own mistake?

I think that out of all the people that took advantage in some cases there might of been some small number of people who didn't realize what had happened at first.

but why arrest them? they should all be put to death and all their children and blood relatives as well? This type of evil is passed on through the genes......or maybe its taught not inherited genetically? ok lets scrap the mass killing and only limit it to the parents the children we can take for re-education programs and teach them how to fit into the best type of society.

Did someone say its better a hundred guilty man go free than one innocent man be wrongly convicted or is it the other way around?

Food stamp people is another story where people with food stamp cards could buy as much as they wanted, because the cards didn't run out of money... That was like your bank overdraft and those people should go to jail for theft.

People ordering from a website should not and are not legally in trouble. Most of the orders got cancelled, people got a free $10 gift card, and they are still complaining that THEY are the victims. I don't think they should be put in jail, but they are weak human beings at best.

So with the food stamp people did they clearly know what they where entitled to use the food stamps for?

Just another question, even if it is wrong what they did.........is it a worthwhile use of resources to prosecute those people then jail them? I guess maybe for the worst culprits. Obviously the prosecution should use common sense, the people who went 20'c or even $20-50 over their allocated amount shouldn't really be bothered with, but those who where going to town then selling off the free stuff for $ should be the ones to be targeted. If that's what was happening.
