Of course, we live in a society that will now have retailers offering "Black Friday" deals all November and December, along with brick and mortar stores opening on Thanksgiving for "Black Friday" for "incredible", "too good to be true" deals and the Purchaser is supposed to 'know' the deal is too good to be true? I don't even know what that means anymore. And I certainly don't expect the lowest common denominator to know.
oh, those poor multinational retailers, always the ones to take the blame, although they never do anything immoral

As for passing down lost money to customers through higher prices... what can i say... greediness is greediness... no-one is obliged to buy over-priced stuff though (i hope)

You my kind, sir, have the absolute right of it. Those poor MNCs are innocent victims - deprived of their rightful, if not rightly earned, profit. Whoa is a world where a major corporations have to account for their mistakes. Or rectify their exploitation of workers. Or simply employ people, and pay them a fair livable wage, to double check their advertisements before they throw them out to the public.
