Default Is there a viable THF Build?

I have a character with two past lives (Fighter and Monk) and am thinking about TRing him/her into a Pali. After much head scratching and trawling the forums looking for any suggestions on build, I have drawn a blank. The reason for the THF requirement is that in his Fighter life, he was equipped with an arsenal of Great Axes (Lit 2 Gs etc), that have been sitting in the TR bank gathering dust. Does anyone have a build for a Pali that could utilise his Great Axe stock or is it best to take another tack? If so what would you suggest?

I suspect that the reason for the lack of build suggestions is that it's just a bad idea and to keep the axes moth balled until his Barb life.

    Yours in anticipation

You can stick with the axes. You are probably looking for something along the lines of 18 Paladin 2 Monk or 16 Paladin 2 Monk 2 Fighter. Upper Paladin levels are garbage (debatably anything over 2 or 4 is garbage) and those level splits will benefit THF the most.

    Default Centered Kensei :)

8 Fighter / 6 Monk would be a solid base (arguably the best), it would allow you to remain centered with a THF Axe, and get +1 crit multi, 25% incorp, dodge, +1.5[W] damage etc. You get 6 more levels to play with. Getting pally in the mix for divine might and saves is a good option.

Except that doesn't get him a pally PL, which I'm inferring is what the OP wants.

    Thumbs up Thanks to all

I have to say, I was surprised to receive so much good advice, so quickly. Some people are very critical of the DDO forum but, in my mind, there is life in the olde dawg yet. Many thanks to those of you who took the trouble to reply. Please keep the suggestions coming as I might use them to hone the build and post my findings to help out others. From reading many of the posts on the Internet it seems to me, Pali's get a lot of bad press with the general opinion being their lack of dps.

    Thanks again.

I'm thinking 16 pal/4 cleric and including ameliorating strike as another clickie in the rotation. With heavy armor and a decent amount of saves from improved aura and divine grace, minirage from divine might and extra turns from cleric you can be a mini self healing barbarian and decide whether to use SP for DM or turns

I am looking for a nice mostly Paladin THF axe build myself.
    Conn Niall Paladin
    Cormac Mac Airt Ranger/Rogue
If it is a Paladin with some version of Conn.... it is probably me.

I like Ellisdee's build (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/422682), and it is not just for new players but for anyone who wants a relatively low stress TR life. You might not win any landspeed records, but it is solid way to get the life with minimal headache.
